Play by post - How to get started?

Hello,

I've never played a game by post before and given my current schedule, I'm thinking it might be the best option for gaming right now. How do I get started? Where are the best places to play a CoD game by post? Anything new players should be aware of? Apologies if these questions have already been answered elsewhere.

For this forum, depends on whether you want to run or play in a game.

Running a game: Create a recruiting topic in the Conventions, Gatherings, and Online Play forum or in the forum of the game you want to play. I've had more luck with the latter, even though I believe it is technically against the rules.

Playing a game: Either message an ST in an active Play by Post game and see if they have room or wait for someone to start recruiting a game.

There are other sites, like RPNation, that may be better for Play by Post.
