  • 1,000,000,001 Pathfinder Character Ideas

So, I finally learned that Pathfinder and D&D are not strictly the same game / universe as each other. So I decided to open up a topic for Pathfinder character ideas, in comparison to the 101 DnD Character Ideas thread.

    ------------------------------------------------

    1) Verelah Zondarzi:

Nobody can explain the circumstances that lead to Verelah's conception. Her mother died in childbirth and her father has never made even the slightest attempt to get in touch with her. From the very day she entered this world, Verelah has been alone, more so than most Tieflings. As sad as her history might be, however, there is a good reason for why she seems to have been abandoned by everyone. Verelah is the spawn of a Qlippoth, a race of beings more ancient than the Demons themselves, and dedicated to the complete eradication of all mortal life. What could have possibly convinced her father to sire a child, rather than slaughter her mother on sight is a question that only he could answer. But nobody knows where he is right now, so Verelah is left grasping at straws.

Luckily for Verelah, Tieflings grow up fast, as it seems unlikely she would have survived long at the normal rate of maturity. Even still, she was forced to resort to drastic measures in order to survive long enough to reach some level of adulthood. This has had lead to her being unceremoniously trained in the ways of the barbarian, relying on gut instinct and blind rage in order to resolve her problems in the most expedient fashion possible. Once she was old enough to confidently defend herself from torches and pitchforks, she decided to try her hand at becoming an adventurer, using her skills for something a little more productive than just surviving one day to the next.

As a result of her self reliant upbringing combined with her Qlippoth ancestry, Verelah is a violently unstable character. The mortal side of her desperately longs for any form of companionship that might ease her loneliness. But as for her fiendish side, she finds herself constantly wanting to tear everybody apart with her bare hands! Thankfully, she has managed to reach a compromise between the duality of her nature. She'll use her position as an adventurer to forge bonds with a select group of people, while venting her incandescent wrath upon anybody who tries to cause them trouble. It's a win-win for both sides of the spectrum, or so Verelah keeps telling herself...

As a Qlippoth-Spawn, Verelah looks quite a bit more alien than most Tieflings commonly seen among the planes. Her overall body shape resembles that of a human, but her arms possess the writhing flexibility of boneless tentacles. Her legs are like those of a frog, possessing unnaturally wide feet with webbing in between her toes. Lastly, her bright green eyes protrude from her skull, being attached by a pair of swiveling eye stalks that allow her to look in any direction without having to turn her head! Her hair is oily black and she prefers to keep it short to avoid becoming a weakness in battle.

    2) Zatot Sadin:

When talking about Zatot Sadin, there is really only one thing you need to know about him. He is better than you, in almost every conceivable way! Or, at least, that is the impression that Zatot has deluded himself into believing over the years. He claims to be a scion of royalty and has received instruction in the ways of magic and swordplay from some of the finest teachers in Golarion. Whether this is true or not has yet to be confirmed, but Zatot does appear skilled enough to back up his claims of being a great fighter. At least when he's able to keep that fiendish confidence of his under control.

Yes, it seems that Zatot is no ordinary child of nobility, he is a Tiefling of the Rakshasa and has thus been subjected to a life of hedonistic debauchery for as long as he can remember. It is unclear what might have possessed the young devil to leave his glorious den of depravity and self indulgence, but it may have something to do with him lacking the more advanced powers of his fiendish progenitors. At home, he probably felt inferior to the true Rakshasa that raised him. But out here among the commoners and simple folk, his refined talents are free to shine through!

As the spawn of a Rakshasa, Zatot could almost be mistaken for some species of beast folk, rather than a fiend. He possesses the head, tail and fur of a mountain lion, but carries himself with a degree of elegance and sophistication that is practically unheard of among the more animalistic races of Golarion. He prefers entering battle with a sword in one hand and his other being presumably empty. The initial reason for this is to taunt his opponents by showing that he only needs one arm to defeat them. But should this prove to be inaccurate, he's always ready to catch them off guard by firing a spell or two from his free hand.

    Class: Magus

I was hoping this would have gotten more attention by now.

Anyways, here's a few ideas for some evil Alchemists!

      3) Half Orc Alchemist (Bomber) - Using their scientific knowledge of powders and chemical reactions, this half breed is responsible for developing advanced instruments of warfare for their tribe to use against neighboring towns and villages.

      4) Tiefling Alchemist (Brawler) - Giving in to their abyssal origins, this mad scientist attempts to create artificial Demons by using their mutagens as a catalyst for the procedure.

      5) Gnome Alchemist (Brewer) - As the member of an illegal drug trafficking cartel, this mixer uses their connection with the Fey to create powerful hallucinogenics which are then distributed to their customers.

I guess this is a dud thread, after all.
