Seen em both. If you want another good vampire anime check out Kurozuka.

Two of my favorites most won't think about or have even seen.

Shiki (Basically Salem's Lot Anime), Karin(Reverse Vampire).

Samurai Flamenco just upended my expectations about the show with the ending of episode #7: as I watched the last scene, I was having trouble believing that it wasn’t intended to be a dream sequence. But the way it ended, it looks like the writers are serious about this latest plot twist.

I'm reminded of a thing I said to a friend about it back in July:
this show makes me super uncomfortable i can't wait to watch it every week for three months

Finished Watamote. That was the most accurate depiction of depression and loneliness I've ever seen. Hope comes in fits and starts, followed soon after by disappointment, sliding downward to a tearful period of crisis and recovery - and then the cycle starts again. No cliche lessons here. I just want to reach into my screen and give Tomoko a hug.

And I'd probably also tell her that it's totally okay to be into girls. I mean seriously, every time Yuu shows up there's lesbian subtext through the roof.

I do think its really cool. I want to see an actually good and well written OEL come out. tbh I want it to be voiced but I want Japanese talent not US/UK talent because those who are usually in the dubbing industry tend to overact or underact or mess up the voices etc etc.

Most are original english language VNs. A handful are japanese or multilanguage ones. I think about 80 or even 90% have original stories (varying in how good they are storywise still) and the other 10-20% are fanfictions.

That is a site for indie VNs (to be exact it is a site for indie vn game developers who talk about problems, hire staff but also who publish their games there. Most of the games are cost free which affects the quaility of about 70% of the VNs published there).
are the VNs OEL (original English Language)? I've found that most OELs don't do it for me. Something is always off or just bothers me. Or they feel too fan-fictiony. The only one I read that I thought was okay, and is probably the best written, drawn and everything OEL VN, is Katawa Shoujo. i only read 3 routes but those routes were okay.

Speaking of VNs my best friend and another friend are both done with their editing of Sumaga from JAST. I'm re-reading muv luv right now which may seem like a torturous thing to do but I'm thinking of stopping when I finish extra again and just leave it be. I've got Altered Fable so I'm hoping to see the translation make more progress again.

I'm not talking about the translations really. I'm talking about his actual writing. He has a really bad habit of dragging me right out of the moment. He writes too much exposition about one thing in the middle of events, for my liking. I just don't care for Type Moon. Not my thing. I'm an Age guy. KimiNozu, Muv Luv, KimiIta. Those all do it for me.

    - Gunnm (Sci-Fi Seinen manga) and its sequel Gunnm Last Order
    - Hellsing (Horror Seinen manga/anime/OVA)
    - Tenchi Muyo! OVAs (original Harem accept no substitutes) and its sequel Isekai no Seikishi Monogatari
    - Black Lagoon (Action/comedy Seinen manga & anime)
