  • Really enjoying web serials. Been reading stuff online for decades now but finding Worm opened my eyes to some other genres. I tried the writers other work and really couldn't get into it at the time, but it might just take a break from the epic that was Worm. Then there's things like My Little Ventrue or Morningwood which are probably more like straight fanfic or porn, and not as mature. But I just found the Wandering Inn. My first read through hit a block but I came back to it and finished the first 'book' the other night, it's a pretty solid story. I like the way the writer takes a more generic idea (people from the real world fallen into a fantasy RPG one, complete with levels) and spices it up, also focusing on the character and them not being harem-gatherers or chosen ones.

    • I unironically love Dirty Secrets of the Black Hand.

It's one of my favorite VTM supplements and does not deserve the hate it gets.

Other Vampire books I love include The Hunters Hunted, Elysium: The Elder Wars, Chicago by Night 1E, Milwaukee by Night 1E, and Alien Hunger.

      • Kieron Gillen's DIE is quite good. Might turn out great, but I know for sure I'm loving it so far, both for writing and art.

The pitch is "Goth Jumanji". It's about a group of roleplayers in the early 90s (think Masquerade times: Gillen is a fan) who get spirited away into their dark fantasy game and reappear into the world months later, scarred from the experience.

Years after that, they have to confront the past and return in.

What I'm saying is that is both something people around here might appreciate and a good source of inspiration for Changeling.

        • So I've got most of the Pokémon to be had from Let's Go Eevee, and was wondering how the heck I'd complete my Pokédex without someone to trade with to get a Kabuto.

That's when I went mucking around in the Cerulean Cave, picking up the random clutter that spawns on the second floor each day, only to find, of all things, a Dome Fossil!

You can get Master Balls that way too.

              • I know I talked way too much about this, but after a week or so of having changed my job, things are good. I'm in a less toxic environment, I work roughly the same hours but feel way better when I get home (which in turn means it's a thousand times easier to chill and write) and here I'm actually proud of what I do.

I earn a little less, that's true, but what I lost on that side I gained on life quality. So yes, I love that

                        • I love when people ask where I'm from, or otherwise try to place my accent.

Been in this place for a decent amount of time since early childhood, and not a trace of Dublin in the sound of me.

I have approximate knowledge of many things.

                          • ...I'm back. I took some time to think, and I realized something: I'd let other people scare me. Not just scare me, but frighten me away from places I felt safe.

That I couldn't live with. I am not that b*tch.

This is where I hang my gaming hat, where my friends are. It's where I belong, and not something people can scare me away from. Not for long.

                            It's good to be home.
