I think the thing I find most strange about this are the people who seem to be drooling over the prospect of Onyx Path possibly losing the WW licenses, and seeing the Paradox purchase as a validation of their hatred for nWoD.

Okay I've only seen a few of those, but they're really not helping.

Also, why? I mean, there's reasons to hate other editions, but come on, Onyx Path does print out classic material for the crowd who wants it. Material that otherwise wouldn't exist.

Yeah, I haven't seen any of these supposed NWoD haters either. I'm not saying they definitively don't exist, but it just seems like a humongous waste of protein to so despise NWoD to want it seen burned to the ground. Hell, back in 2004, when CWoD ended and was replaced by NWoD, I didn't want to see the NWoD utterly destroyed, I was just like "meh, if people wanna play it, more power to them, but it ain't my bag."

I mean, jeez, what am I gonna do? Join the White Wolf Gestapo, fuel up my flamethrower and start doing home invasions of people playing NWoD games like something out of Fahrenheit 451? That's totally ridiculous! C'mon, we're talking about fantasy horror! Classic dystopian sci-fi is three genres down and two across from here! I'm too lazy to lug a flamethrower that far!

People spend a million or more dollars and then fires everyone all the time. Mostly depending on how valuable they judge the brand or resources the company they took over has. Easier just to fill things out with your own people.

Sure that's true, but at the same time I have to consider it a waste of assets. There's people that have been working these IPs for half a decade or (much) more that are with Onyx Path and have been knocking it out of the park. Even in my admittedly pessimistic opinion of this purchase I have to say it'd be stupid of Paradox to just axe everything that's been going on
