I recently tried to create a new topic in Changeling: the Dreaming, and accidentally made some mistakes. When I tried to go back and correct them through editing, I noticed that my edits weren't taking effect. As in, they weren't showing up in the original post after I finished them. When I go back and click Edit again, I see the edited posts, but when I get out of edit mode, it goes back to the original screw up.

A similar thing happened to me once. I asked the mods to delete the thread and just did it again from scratch. Something seems to not be 100% alright with the Edit tool and just plainly screws up a thread sometimes -
