No. The Abyssal Exalted still labor under the Great Curse in Third Edition; the Neverborn cannot so easily recant their death curses.

The Yozi and Neverborn were able to warp Solar shards back in 2E? Have they tried similar to other Exaltations or even Exigencies?
    Maybe!

    • Some Thrown charm questions
Does Swarm-Culling Instinct restrict the solar from attacking the same foe dexterity times? Says Opponents I don't know if this means different opponents.

Angle-Tracing Edge does this charm basically just allow the solar to attack any person not making a stealth action they are aware of as long as it is not in a box or a place where the holes are smaller than the thrown projectile? Would a penalty for attacking basically blind be in play or does this charm negate those as well/it is against the spirit of the charm to apply such things. Also must the target of angle tracing edge be attacking the solar or is that just fluff?

      • Some questions about Realm auxiliaries. The Medo entry in the corebook mentions Medoan Janissaries, locals recruited by the Realm to fight in foreign wars, allowed to return after some term of service.

Is this standard practice for Realm satrapies?

Can a government pay part of its tithe in conscripts?

Are foreigners included in the infantry sections, or are they exclusively auxiliaries?

Previous books have noted that legion auxiliaries are considered expendable. Would foreign troops be considered particularly expendable?

How do foreign troops return home? On their own resources, or transported on the Realm's money?

Have soldiers encountered recent difficulties returning home due to impending civil war and the divvying up of Imperial legions?

          Only one attack per enemy.

It negates cover bonuses, not visual penalties.

It doesn't require that the enemy have made an attack.

It is by no means universal, but the Realm draws janissaries from several satrapies in such manner.

When the Empress or the house holding the satrapial lease requested janissary troops, yes. The local government could certainly attempt to bargain by offering janissary troops in place of other tribute, but the Realm was under no obligation to accept such offers.

            I don't understand the question.

Depends on the troops, the general, and the situation in the satrapy; there's no hard answer.

Transported by the Imperial Navy or marching in company with Realm troops. Leaving unaffiliated troops to wander the countryside on their own runs the risk of banditry or rebellion.

Sounds like a good plot hook!

A legion has six medium and four heavy infantry dragons at its core, with half as many troops designated auxiliaries performing every other role (archers, slingers, light infantry, cavalry, etc.). Previous books have noted that the infantry dragons are native born Blessed Islanders, while the cavalry at least are sourced from local satrapies upon arrival at the legion's destination. That may or may not be the case for the archers and slingers and whatnot, I'm not sure.

I suppose the question is how foreign soldiers are included in the legion organization; whether foreigners are recruited into the "core" section of medium and heavy infantry that comprises every legion, or are always considered "add-ons" like the auxiliaries seem to be, even if they fight similarly to the regular legionaries.

The additional four to six dragons of troops are skirmishers — light missile troops — who are drawn from the same sources as the legionnaires and are Imperial troops. Legionnaires and skirmishers are typically from the Blessed Isle, but sometimes incorporate recruits picked up while in the satrapies. Legionnaires and skirmishers are both part of the Imperial legions proper, as are a handful of specialist units. Auxiliaries stand outside of this framework; they're units of troops drawn from the satrapies, and they retain the organization, training, and leadership of their homelands. They are attached to Imperial armies but are not part of the legions.

(This will all be covered in The Realm.)

                  • If a charm/evocation activates when you 'block' does this specifically refer to using your parry as a defence? or could a Clash foreseeably activate it as well?

I notice some charms specify 'when you use your parry/dodge' but some are missing that clause (I'm looking specifically at Heaven and Earth Gauntlets - 'Mountain Halting Might')

                    • If one uses Iron Whirlwind Attack with stormcaller, and the individual attacks are at 15 initiative each. Does this increase the storms intensity for each each as per Stormcallers description? Or is it limited to once per turn.

Blocking is used as a synonym for parrying. Clashes don't count.

                            Right, of course.

Okay, forget combining with other Styles. How clunky is it if a pair of smashfists can be used with Fire Dragon Style, without the use of the smashing tag?

On that subject, if a warstrider was specifically designed to enable the use of Fire Dragon Style, would it be allowed to make smashing attacks with its fists using that Ability?
