So, what did yuo all think?!

    Looks very cool!

I'm a little surprised about another jade mountain in the Southeast though. I get that it's a powerful archetype and writers go to it immediately, but... kinda makes the idea a bit less mythical and special now that we have two. At least the Dreaming Sea one remains undiscovered... the Harborhead one is actively mined, IIRC?

Think about what? ... Wait... Oh, look, new shiny! Grabs.

Very cool and evocative description of the Dreaming Sea.

Surprisingly informative discussion about Prasad. Castes, Clans, Jati, the Pure Way, the Twin Dragons. So good.

Then a taste of things beyond. Hmm...

Still got to digest it all, but so far it looks like they've built a sweet corner of the setting to play in.

When you perfectly reverse the cultures of the clans.
and invented an entirely different history of the region, cult, etc....
        Still, really cool!

I did a lot of homebrew over here. PEACH.

I don't think there is one in the south-east (unless, I guess, you really wanted there to be one), I think it's just an example of the kinds of legends that exist.

Anyway, looks good to me. As always, my favourite part is the short paragraphs that give you some society which you can then expand on. A mountain of goatfolk, a city in a giant stone ship, a city of strange dreams, and then a fairly regular city (because they can't all be wacky). A nice variety.

I'm pretty happy that the official vision for Prasad looks pretty much like the one I've been using in my game for the last few months. XD

I think it is very cool. With all the caste and jati deal, along with city descriptors, I got an old school jrpg vibe from. The whole deal with themed cities and people and such. Gives me the fuzzies.

I also like the bits on the Jade Road, and how the Empress understood that it was too far way to squeeze too much. Greedier (and dumber) BI DBs might make a grab for power there only to die in a vicious "pincer" maneuver, crushed by Prasadi and political enemies at the Isle, a payment for their greed, over extension and lack of foresight.

And how heretical is the Pure Way? lol... Pious Order monks most definitely seethe when they visit Prasad.

This has a lot of rich and interesting detail. Culturally and geographically, Prasad is definitely a extremely unique and cool satrapy. I think one of the most striking parts is how their wyld hunts sometimes allow captive creatures the likes of demons and fair folk to adhere to the Pure Way and work to purify and better themselves*.

*Edit: Until they are fit to receive "a cleaner death", at any rate.

Yeah, I liked that, a little different but not too different.

It looks good. It seems to me that it particularly draws on some historical aspects of Indian cultures that I think may be a bit obscure to non-Indians.

I like the phrasing of the way that the arriving Dragon Blooded established their power by marrying into the existing ruling class; it fits with ideas I've had about how they often operated in the First Age.

And the point about the subject of who prepares food both has interesting implications, and brings up some amusing memories.

You mean the Jatis, Castes and cooking? That doesn't seem super obscure. But there may be other things I missed.

So I assume the Pure Monks use the Immaculate Dragon Styles? I ask because I know the Immaculate Faith does not, but Lookshy is too militarily invested for monasticism, and doesn't have active cultural exchange with the Realm.

I think a lot of people wouldn't know about the jatis as distinct from the varnas, and would miss some details such as the number.

I love it! And the food details are awesome... I would love clothing details too - food porn & costume porn, my favourite kinds of porn

Also I learned a new word - tanistry. I doubt I'll get to use it outside of Exalted, though...

BTW, does anyone know when the book is slated to come out?

Another power on the Dreaming Sea?
