Can Blade-Deflecting Palm be used with Martial Arts parries? I don't remember if Vance said the kickstarter copy was in error about that.

It still says "brawl or martial arts"

This is a terrible change but the upside is that now I have absolutely no reservations about houseruling that static values and success adders both round up.

For Solars and Lunars as well?

TBH, I find that Exalted has a bit of an issue with PCs having 5s all over the place. So by reducing the benefit of 5s a bit in relation to 4s, maybe I'll see more PCs with a bunch of 4s than a bunch of 5s. The main problem I foresee is not balance (I think it's fine for that) but players constantly forgetting how it works, or, as Lioness mentioned, picking boring specialties for Dodge and Melee (but then, they were probably always going to do that, tbh).

Did Graceful Dryad Dance get that buff Vance he'd add?

              What buff?
The only change I see is before it let you move up or down 2 range bands, and now it lets you move up or down 1 or 2 range bands.

Interesting, because to me, the change seems to incentivize the opposite: whereas you could get away with having 4+specialty before and sit secure in the knowledge that you may not be optimal, but you still have your full defensive power budget to rely on if shit hits the fan, now it's 5+spec or you lose out on a third of your supernatural potential.

That said, after checking the math, the change definitely seems to be better for combat flow: rounding up twice plus having a medium weapon means that in a fight between two equally asymmetrically skilled combatants, the defender has an effective +2 bonus if both of them go all-out, which means that the chances of connecting with a decisive end up somewhere in the realm of <30% instead of the much more reasonable ~40% that round down results in. (However, I maintain that the original sin in this case is in allowing the defense bonus from medium weapons to apply on decisives, and warping the game's incentives to even more disproportionally favor creating flawlessly minmaxed superbeings is not a good thing.)

It didn't used to allow you to move down two range bands.

I asked Vance if it made sense that it would or should allow you to safely descend two range bands.

                    Ah, sure.

                    Any other changes anyone's noticed?

For the abilities people use in combat, yes.

People were going to take "Specialty (the weapon type I always use)" and this ruling doesn't change anything on the ground because people generally enter into combat on their own terms. But with abilities like Awareness, Integrity and Lore that also add successes, they tend to be things the ST might prompt you to roll/apply without being immediately clear what's going on (often because the roll itself is supposed to tell you that) and not having an applicable specialty there can be hobbling.

Blazing Dragon-Smith Arete gives exploding 10s.

Imago-Hatching Realization can only be used once per project, but the "unexpected but useful feature" only requires the rerolled dice to yield a success instead of having to turn the roll itself from a failure into a success.
