      A kung-fu Elephant.

Really just a very vague concept I had at one point that stuck with me. I'm not generally into Lunars.

I really want to play with the idea of a Beastman Lunar whose Spirit Shape is NOT her heritage-animal. I assume her Hybrid form would stack the mutations from her "human" form with her Spirit Shape animal, without the Chimera Charm (because her actual Spirit Shape is still a single animal form). My favorite idea to implement this is a Snakewoman with a Mongoose Spirit Shape, because she became the ultimate incarnation of swift shadowy death!

Conceptually, his schtick is that he believes that, since the First Age, the Exalted Host has repeatedly made the same mistake: creating a world that can't function and survive without them. The Solars created wonders that couldn't be sustained in their absence. The Sidereals and Terrestrials created the Realm that can't be sustained in the Empress' absence. This guy is very focused on teaching martial arts to mortals as a way to elevate their minds and their bodies to allow them to build a Creation that doesn't center around the Exalted.

He also wants to be the first Lunar to master a Sidereal Martial Art... that's a whole separate story

(This will be the recreation of a 2E character. His Motivation was the master an SMA, and all of the other stuff described above built up over the course of a years-long campaign. Hopefully... I actually get a chance to recreate this character.)
It'll be a long wait, but 3E Monkey Style will probably be coming in the Many-Faced Strangers companion book thanks to an upcoming stretch goal.

(Along with Toad Style! I'm so excited for that one.)

Actually, I've always wanted to play someone who can incant this, and mean it:

I am the very model of a sorcerer Celestial,
I've studied Workings, demons, gods both Heaven's and Terrestrial,
I'm quite good at summoning (be of spirits or the infernal) because I am enlightened (which I know is not at all humble),
My powers and my studies range from eldritch to the practical, I am the very model of a sorcerer Celestial.

              Here's to you, Mordin Solus.

Years ago, when Ex3 came out, before Arms of the Chosen was released, when people were talking about Ex3 Lunars getting a much-needed fix, I made myself a promise.

I would make Morgiana from Magi as a Full Moon Lunar.

I said to myself if I couldn't make her as a Lunar and make her feel FUN... Not even "Stronger or as strong as a Solar", just "Mechanically viable to the point where I don't feel like she's useless", I'd consider Lunars 0 for 3.

Well, the Kickstarter is up. We have some Preview Charms.

I think that she's going to be fun.

Disclaimer: I'll huff, grump, and defend my position, but if you're having fun I'll never say you're doing it wrong.

Weren't the Finalis basically just giant lion-wolves with steel plates for skin? (When they weren't Human, that is) That seems pretty easy to do for a Chimeric Spirit Shape!

I'm basic and boring, I just wanted to make a mentor of an old Lunar character of mine, the Thousand Poison spitting Toad Demon of the Eastern Swamps. (The basic idea was that Amphibians don't stop growing throughout their lives, I wondered what the Spirit Shape of one that had lived 2000 years looked like).

                  So:
                  - Giant Toad/Man/Crochety Old Yoda-Sensei (amusingly, his human shape would be on the small side)
                  - Toad Style Martial Arts (poison everything)

I'm currently in a position where the only Lunars I'm going to be able to make are NPCs so I can't spoil.

But! A friend of mine working on the book asked what I wanted and among other things, I showed them this.

So I'm very optimistic for Lunar Strength. Also terrified.

On that note, I want to design a Lunar Dragon.

If the Wyld Hunt are the holy knights hunting the devil into its own den, then they deserve a Lernean Hydra, a Fafnir, a Smaug, an Alduin terrible enough to be the dragon of their story.

Trogdar the Burninator, burninating the peasants to draw attention, and then the holy warriors who arrive to stop him. An absolute monster.

Psychotic, envious, jealous. Monomaniacally obsessed with proving himself the “true” dragon, and opposed to the Realm simply because it is the biggest rival dragon around.

If valid spirit shapes and chimerism aren’t enough to gain a dragon as a totem, then this madman resorted to sorcerous self-modification.

If he was a Dynast who failed to Exalt, he might seek to master all five Immaculate Styles, but odds are that he specializes in fighting in various bestial forms. Dinosaurs, mostly, to express as many different forms of “dragon” as possible.

At first I wanted to make a Raiton-themed Lunar to maybe the be the Man-Bat to my Solar Knight Raiton, but I don't know, a lot of these previewed Appearance Charms are putting me in a Catwoman mood..

Reading through all these social charms made me realize a Lunar Yandere gf would be one of the most transcendentally terrifying things you could throw at a Solar.

Are you in the market for some Martial Arts? Perhaps some custom Artifacts for your campaign?

Dynast: So, let me get this straight. A Solar Anathema joined the Wyld Hunt!?

Immaculate Monk: In service of the Dragons, all may find redemption...especially if one is concerned for the sake of a future reincarnation...

Robert Vance confirmed that you can cheese Chimera Soul Expression to get more mutation points for your Spirit Shape and Hybrid Forms without changing your look very much.

So you could do something as cheesy as picking two subspecies of canine or cat or bird to get a super-canine or super-cat or super-bird form.

Remember how in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man, the spider that bit Peter Parker was a genetic hybrid of various species, including complex web-weaving spiders and mobile jumping spiders? You can do something like that. Maybe combine a constrictor snake with a venomous snake, or a whale with a dolphin, or a whale with a shark...

I figure that combining a Tyrant Lizard with a pterodactyl-like species, one way or the other, would let you create various wyvern-type dragons with fully-functional wings (in place of the useless little arms) and crushing jaws.

Cross a Tyrant Lizard with a feathered bird for a feathered dragon.
