The way I see it, the chosen of the dragons still need to be chosen by the dragons.

My solution to splitting 25 abilities over 6 aspects was to give everyone craft, cos it's Authochthonia.
Why would anyone in Autochthonia favor Sail, when there are no bodies of water big enough for a boat?

Can't remember if Autochthonia has any flying vessels, but historically Sail was used to pilot those as well.

I post Artifacts in this thread. How I make them is in this thread.
I have made many tools and other things for 3rd Edition. I now host all of my creations on my Google site: The Vault of the Unsung Hero

The bloodline was chosen. The idea that individuals are runs up against a few things, such as the idea that there's something truly estimable about the Exalted individuals.

Like, they're magic nobility; it means something that they inherit incredible power because of lucky happenstance.

I have approximate knowledge of many things.

Whose to say it can't have lakes of oil or whatever? Plus what someone else said about it being used for flying vehicles. Also, its been used for a few other oddities like sand skimmers (or whatever those are called).

Last I checked Autochthonia had a big oil ocean at one end. Someone had to get it, so I gave it to the most fitting aspect.

Main reason why I brought up the idea with the Caul was to address the two main problems I saw with Autochthonian Dragon-Blooded.

-They form dynasties of power that would be disruptive to the Octet's caste system and don't have the limitations against running the show that Alchemicals do.
-They're much less resource intensive to create than Alchemicals, which is going to lead to nations favouring them and causing the above problem.

The idea was that this would allow Terrestrial Exaltation to be a recent development that's largely linked to an area that's impractical to hold onto.
