A few others that I think are worth seeing:

I think the one about the crisis of the third century gives an image of the Realm continuously dealing with Lunar harassment, but the one on Alexander stands out since he's so often been used as an example of the distance a campaigning army can travel.

I tried pasting the links directly to my address bar, but no luck.

If you could post what they are I could try looking them up in another way.

These are immensely helpful in fleshing out a realistic Realm, thank you Isator.

Perhaps I made some mistake in transcribing them; the browser wasn't letting my type in responses at the time, so I wrote the addresses in by hand on my phone.

          Let's see...

          Alexander's logistics

          That's the ticket.

Here are some that I think are helpful for giving insight into the length of an empire's reach and how it might interact with distantly removed cultures.

The matter of conflict between the Han and Xiongnu is the basis for my ideas in the past about the Realm engaging in expeditions with neighbouring peoples not for conquest, but to destroy those peoples and remove their disruptive influence on borders.

It also touches on a few subjects about how demographics shift due to migrations as a result of imperialistic action.
