  • Flight-themed Martial Arts

I had an idea today. Given how people able to fly are not too uncommon, with beastmen, people of the air, lunars, artifacts etc, someone in Creation should have developed a Martial Arts style for those in flight. And such a style would be a good fit for a Lunar character I'm considering.

I, unfortunatly, am not good at real crunchy Charms. Anyone who is good at this kind of thing have any ideas or are interested in helping?

It's in the Lunars book. It's not one that can only be practiced while flying, but people who can fly or glide (or at least Jump Good) will have quite the edge in delivering its aerial attacks and throws.

If you want one specifically about flying, there was a Raptok martial art in 2e that was specifically about flying. I forget the name though, anyone remember?

I run... Lunars: The Apocalypse! Exalted 3rd edition. Fimbulwinter is upon the world as an Ice Age begins, and only six young Lunar heroes have a chance of saving humanity.

                Pterok. Raptok didn't have wings.

Not until a demented Twilight Caste invented a taurine-infused tea he christened, “Sanguine Aurochs,” anyway.

Pfft. That'd give even humans wings!

Fist Punch Style was the creation of a Dawn Caste in the First Age. His true name is lost to history, but scholars of ancient lore refer to him as the Hairless Mantle. It eschews the ways of blocks, kicks, and grapples, instead distilling down the essence of the single perfect punch. Many tried to emulate his ways, but even the Sidereals who studied him could not fell a behemoth in a single blow as he did, and the style was said to be lost with its practitioner.
