Could you then say that an elder mage from World of Darkness could use arcane magic to alter their spells and make them not Shaping attacks?

If an Arete 5 Technocrat fires a pistol at you using Forces 5 and Entropy 5, is it a shaping attack, or a direct attack?

Probably not shaping, but I was thinking like aging somebody 10,000 years, or melting their bones into jelly, but just making it not shaping. In the way that a Solar would use a charm to swing a sword and make it an ethereal concept attack through some Occult charm.

The protections being discussed are now Destiny-Manifesting Method, yes.

Based on my understanding that Ascension doesn’t even try to not be made entirely of BS, my guess is that this exact Prime spell is in fact probably buried somewhere in How Do You Do That.

IMO, the loss of it contributed to the long term decline of the Exalted RPG.

That’s not what those links show though.

You do have to consider IPP in that it was written to be useful in a Charmset where you can go "I spend 2m to use Seven Shadows Evasion, and a smile cockily as I Perfect Dodge the infinite damage attack, which is a level 1 stunt so I restore 2m."

                Does anyone want that?

Because I have it on zipdisk.

I found a copy of the errata actually. Took a while, but it exists in the old archives.

Check out my Sorcerer 20th homebrew and my update to Highlander: the Gathering for 20th Anniversary edition.

Well, between the loss of the old forums and the terrible project managment of 3e core kickstarter... The slow release of supplements, please do tell me why the game is barely played anymore? Or rarely talked about on other rpg forums?

I don't know if you were around back in the old days of 1e in 2003 or 04. The game was huge, groups were easy to find and the books widely sold in stores in my area. (Victoria, BC, at the time.)

The size and level of activity on fan forums was nuts. The level of custom content was at least 10x, maybe 20x what we have now.

The Exalted white wolf forums alone were 60% of the activity. The fan forums dwarfed what else was available (so far as I knew of at the time). Now it's all dead silicon and gone.

Given your links show interest plummeting years before any of those things happened and staying fairly steady through all of them? Who knows.
