Which books are next?

Lunars is out now, which books are next? When do we get Abyssals, Sidereals, Infernals etc?

Monday meeting notes has a list of all currently in production books. Next is Exigents as far as splats goes.

Current splat order that we know is Exigents, Sidereals/Getimians, Abyssals/Liminals, Infernals, Alchemicals. Exalted Essence will have enough for all the splats to be playable, but won't be indepth like the splatbooks. Crucible of Legends will have ST-facing info for all the splats.

Next Exalted book'll probably be Heirs to the Shogunate.

I can't imagine it would be anything else. We've sent the Heirs manuscript to layout, and its art notes to the art director.

Any word on upcoming kickstarters?

The plan appears to be one "main" splat per year (Getiminans and Liminals don't count as "main", and will come out in the same year as another splat). Exigents is supposed to get a Kickstarter probably around the start of next year, 2021, and come out the year after that, 2022. Sidereals would then get Kickstartered in 2022 and come out in 2023, Abyssals would get a KS campaign in 2023 and come out in 2024, Infernals would be 2024 and 2025, and finally Alchemicals in 2025 and 2026.

Of course, all of that assumes that the schedule doesn't slip, which we know is definitely possible - Exigents, for example, was originally hoped for this year, but covid and other problems caused that to be delayed. And something like that could always happen to other books too, and would likely push everything back. So those numbers are more of a "if all goes well, in the best case scenario", rather than a firm timeline. Certainly Onyx Path won't commit to anything that firm this far out, since doing so only invites disappointment.

I think the next Exalted Kickstarter will be Exigents. As for When... Heck if I know. Maybe next year? It was supposed to be THIS year but Covid happened.

According to Rich Thomas (in a comment on last week's Monday Meeting Notes), Exigents will be "Next year, as early as we can do it." Hopefully that means January, but could of course always be later than that.
