      I was hoping for a starting level one-shot, bascially to introduce people to the game. Only 1 major fight.

        What's the theme of the one shot? Also what would they be fighting? Like I have a couple but one is a pretty hardcore dedicated sailor and stuff. I've got a bit of time it might just be easier to drop a few here that fit your idea.

          Standard Dragon-Blooded

          These characters are built to the standard assumptions of the game. They can fight fifty burly men at once. They can pick locks... in the dark.. without lockpicks. They can remove a burst appendix without killing the patient. And then there's the stuff they're actually good at!

          These are Dragon-Blooded. They don't fight against Celestial Exalted (or Directional War Gods) one-on-one. Back them up with a mortal army and three or four of their kin, and they can fight such beings, but it's a risky proposition. They fight First Circle Demons. They fight the strange creatures that crawl out of the Wyld. Truculant Storm Mothers. Dread beasts like the Manticore (which drives folks to commit cannibalism to avoid fighting one).

          Cynis Lokaret - Monster Hunter

          This is what a combat focused, non-optimized character looks like. They can solo fight Tyrant Lizards, but they can also, you know, read.

            Thanks so much, to both of you!

            I'm hoping to introduce some new people to the system in a broad way. The plan was that they were a group of dragonblooded formed to investigate a cult that set up in a city within the Realm, However, the cult is revealed to be the followers of an Abyssal Exalted (Midnight caste, loosely based on Getou Suguru from Jujutsu Kaisen), that was a member of a religious group wiped out by the dynasts when taking the territory and founding the city.

            The idea is to give them a basic sense of the basic components of the Exalted setting and system. They are only going to have 1-2 encounters with the Abyssal, 1 probably being social combat to leave the cult unnoticed upon having discovered the Abyssal. It should also show them that they are out of their depth against the Abyssal, as an introduction to the power tiers of Exalted lore, and that they will have to seek help from the Immaculate Order, or place him in the path of another Anathema to defeat him. The combat will mostly be against the mortal and undead minions of the Abyssal—so gamebreaking combat monsters, while cool, should be avoided.

            I also was considering giving the players 1-2 signature abilities or Essence 3 evocations, since they are where the appeal of playing Dragonblooded shines the most (in my opinion).
