  • Which of the forests in the demon realm* seems like the best place to situate a First Circle species of hairless, telepathic apes?

    __________
*The three I remember are Szoreny, Hrotsvitha, and Vitalius.

    • I don't remember Vitalius, what was that like? I remember the other two.

        Been looking for that myself.

        • Question. How would one write a spell that grants mutations and merits, both to willing and unwilling subject?

No, and it won't be. The Eclipse anima power specifies that it's for Eclipses to learn "the Charms of spirits, Fair Folk and similar supernatural beings", and the devs have clarified that they don't intend to let Eclipses learn other Exalteds' powers.

                • Were official stats for a chainklave ever published in 2E, and if so, where were they?

                  Thanks!

They are quite common, as they are created from runoff when two sections of Malfeas' crust grind together (p 110).

                      • Would a "Sorcery" specialty in Occult add a dice to spells' attack rolls or rolls to gather sorcerous motes?

                        • Technically both.
Though I think sorcery is a bit big; I think my player took "sorceries workings" rather than "sorcery". Up to your ST though.

                          • You may be right. Given what interest me here, I think "Spellcasting" or "Spells" would be more appropriate as a specialty.

                            • Solar circle 2 allows you to make beings on the level of 3rd circle demons and the unconquered Sun. Does this mean it can have unique panoply charms that would break the game if normal exalted could get them?

                                I don't think that's correct.

First off, I don't think that panoply Charms really makes sense as a term here, since they're not contrasted against a generic universal Charm set.

What do you mean by something being broken if a normal Exalt could get them? Something that gets too much out of being used in combination, or simply very powerful in its own right?

Even if the latter... there are Third Circle Demons with powers that have a scope that might be disruptive if a player character was using them, but I wouldn't really characterize them as breaking the game.
