Evocation Fun

I was originally just going to post a quick Evocation idea and exit, but instead, I'd like to turn this into something a bit more. So, I'm gonna throw down an evocation. It'd be awesome if you guys also threw one down. Just one at a time, as descriptive or simple as you'd like, using any idea original or otherwise. Whatever you think would make a cool Evocation.

Red Miles
The weapon explodes with hundreds of tendrils of red hate, covering the ground and sky in lethal ribbons in every direction. The destruction caused is impressive, as the attack rips through ground, trees, stone, buildings...everything to seek out and kill any living thing.
A single attack is made against everything in a 100yd radius, on any area within 1 mile that the wielder can perceive. This attack may be dodged or parried, however, should the attack miss, another attack will be dealt next round, and every round thereafter that it continues to miss until it eventually strikes. These additional attacks do not require any further commitment or action on the part of the wielder, but may be automatically dismissed by him as a reflexive action, should he feel merciful. Fleeing the 100 yard radius also will not save the victim...if a target was within range at the time of the first attack, they cannot escape the miles.
So long as the Red Miles exist, another instance of this ability cannot be used.

Hungering Earth

Obsidian shards unearth themselves from all earthy surfaces around the weilder and begin to churn, damaging everyone but the weilder (and his allies). In a feild, this is limited to the ground; but in a cave this would include the walls and ceiling. The shards drink blood that would fall upon them to empower the weapon that produced them, and do ancillary things like increase falling damage. The area of obsidian shards moves with the weilder, unearthing and burying them as the weapon passes over an earea. Later evocations allow the weilder to open a chasm in the earth that is lined with such shards, as though a titanic shark's maw, to roar, to chew and to swallow his opponents whole.

Blood Gorgon Red Cage

The Exalted's stomach begin to visibly churn as poisonous Essence start to build-up inside his body, she then spit out this mesh of corrosive mote into the sky as a stream of bloody materialized hatred. This create a sphere with a diameter of one mile, any extra caught within this bubble of tainted essence will begin to melt, their skin and bone being cook into the essence-stuff that the Exalted can then absorb. Other target don't fare any better as the bloody haze drifting through the air is still enough to cause serious harm to Essence-user as their limb become more stiff and their vision begin to blur.

Yeah, murder extra in great number is not really impressive.

Ghost-King's Scarlet Raiment
Among the most terrifying powers of the soulsteel reaper known only as Chill Valet, this Evocation is widely regarded--among those who know of the blade--to be the first sign of true mastery of its potential. Further Evocations lie beyond even this, but generally require that this Evocation be active to gain any use from them.

With a flourish of his weapon, the wielder's skin splits down the middle, flying off of him in a soundless gale. What remains is a phantom that wears this skin like a regal cape, imperious and terrifying. Until they terminate this Evocation, the wielder gains a bonus to any attempts to threaten or order. He also gains the benefits (naturally dematerialized except for his skin) and penalties of his ghostly state (subject to wards as well as Holy charms, even if he was not before). Returning to his skin requires a full action

While some ghosts have been known to achieve Chill Valet's lesser evocations, there has been no recorded instance of even one of the Deathlords mastering it to this degree.

Drawn from a mirrored shield of orichalc and obsidian, this Evocation turns the smoke-and-copper surface more reflective than a mirror: it shows the monsters of the world their true nature, and sends them howling into the dark. Even the Chosen quail at the evils and mistakes of their former selves, and are likewise banished.

Blood Fort Andromeda doesn't really make sense as an Evocation. It's more of a signature Charm or spell than anything.

Darkness of the Hungering Depths

This Evocation calls forth an impenetrable cloud of darkness reminiscent of the lightless depths of the Western Ocean in a 10 yard radius. As long as the user's Essence is higher than those who attempt to cast light in the affected area, no natural or unnatural light source can provide illumination. Everyone inside without the assistance of Charms that let one see in darkness counts as being blinded.

Higher level Evocations building off this one could even let the user call forth the pressure conditions at the deepest point of the ocean, etc.

Husbands Drowning in Snow
(evocation of a long ghost-silk and soulsteel dress)

Parts of the dress shred to pieces (that are recovered when this evocation ends), allowing for greater freedom of movement. Its pieces dissolve into the air to create soft feild of entropy and thin ectoplasm centered on the wearer - an eerie cold white fog or snow that dampens color and sound. For a scene, the wearer looks like a pale shade, indistinguishable from the gray background. People who aren't already directly looking at the character cannot hear her, nor chan they see any trace of her movement or anything she has done since activating this evocation, as the fog makes sight and thought hazy. Once eye contact is made however, everything falls into view at once (if applicable) - tracks, bloodstains, corpses, everything; just as the cold goes from a soft winter's caress to the bite of a bone-chilling blizzard.

Expert Thief's Arrows

While a very humble Evocation, this technique is nonetheless invaluable, especially to those who live their lives on the edge of the law. The wielder of the Master Thief's Bow nocks an arrow, silently naming a desired Elemental effect. This can range from turning the arrow into water mid-flight to extinguish light sources, to creating a fast-growing moss at the point of impact to dampen footsteps, to releasing a harmless gas that puts targets quietly to sleep.

I could see this as a way to power massive spells if I'm understanding it's use correctly. Your intent was to be able to absorb the damage done to others as essence right?

Sounds like the sword of truth from the shannara series, I like it

This blade Sings the Battle
While held in the hands of a skilled blade master the weapon bearing this evocation seems to hum and vibrate in tune to the battle being waged around it. Those attuned to it can predict the next note and with it the next action in battle turning the battle into a well coreographed song and dance, and Opera if one will. A One on one duel with a skilled foe is as likely to attract a crowd as a skillful musician.

Fractal Refraction Dismay
Borne from a blade of gleaming starmetal, the shimmering blade glows with starlight. As the divine metal rips through the air, the area in front of the wielder is bathed in the darkness of night, with hundreds and thousands of tiny stars twinkling around them, all fixed into the pattern of the battle. In fact, if one could be quick enough, they could read these stars to determine the immediate future... however, there is certainly not enough time, as the light and darkness invert, the area becoming bright light with hundreds of dark motes, which begin to warp and grow, a thousand tiny black holes pulling everything and ripping it all to shreds against the extremes of gravity pulling in every direction before everything once again grows dark and then dissipates.

One attack is made against an area, 10 yards long and wide per dot of Essence the wielder possesses. In addition, anyone holding a non-artifact item must roll at a difficulty of the wielders Essence, as if being disarmed, or have whatever they were holding sucked into the black holes. These items are then randomly deposited elsewhere within a 10 mile radius.
