Jamei, i have no clue what those are.

ok, heres my take on the god eating dragon. will do the false exaltation overview later.

i hope Accelerator can make one to.

gardra and shang yang comes from this website, http://compendiumofthings.wikidot.co...ns-of-cecelyne

      Aydahar, the heretical dragons

the usurpation was watched by all of malfeas with pleasure as the solars were cast down and defeated. Of the dragonblooded there was little care amongst the yozi and the unqestionables, and even the citizens didnt care much now that only the dragonblooded were left to reliably summon them. But there were those who still kept an eye on creation, amongst those who did was Gardra, He Who Lights the Fires. despite his status as a soul of Cecelyne he was one of the most outspoken agaisnt her laws. This was his nature, for he was a soul of Shang Yang, who represents the infinite deserts self loathing and irony. Much of the usurpation resonated with him and his themes, and when he heard of the immaculate faith/order he was even more delighted. seeing the dragonblooded beat down disobediant gods and forced them to extol virtues that were lies. So he created the Aydahar,

Resembling lesser elemental dragons, these creatures can isntantly be told apart from there elemental counterparts by the silver of there scales, identical to the sands of Cecelyne, for they are the sands of Cecelyne given form by either Gardra's whims or omen weather lashing upon the dunes of the endless desert. An Aydahar can escape when a dragon blooded uses the Immaculate faith to justify there horrors (sadly becoming all to common in the age of sorrows) or when any being uses religeon to justify an action that is in reality the most fundimental of the laws of Cecelyne, that might makes right.

When in creation, an Aydahar immediatly rushes to find a cult of suffiecent power to cause enough trouble for its purposes, yet whose patron can not give a true fight to the Aydahar. At this point it ambushes the being, be it god, elemental, ghost, fair folk or something else (not even demons or physical beings are safe from the Aydahar). It devours the unlucky spirit and uses the power of the desert to create a magical mirage, effortlessly replacing the cults object of worship. At this point it not only grows the cult but also are introduced to new rituals and gain demands for more sacrifices.

An Aydahar is in no way subitle. most gods take a light hand for fear of attracting something strong enough to stop them (usually an exalted of some kind). Even the most tyranical of deitys, those who have completely abandoned there duties make sure to keep there depravities small, lest they be beaten into submission. But Aydahar's are not bureaucrats like gods, and in fact enjoy attracting attention. In its disguise it gives bigger blessings, granting things like health and minor miracles, all of which are demon-tainted. Eventually the essence of the consumed being runs out, revealing the true demon. But by that point it does not matter, for the cult is so maddened that all pretences are abandoned, and more first circles are summoned through thaumaturgy as they spread the will of the yozis.

At this point, with demons openly stomping there boots on human faces, the immaculates get involved. A hit squad is sent to banish the demons and break the cult. It always ends the same, with the demon being banished back to hell but always at least one dragon blooded dies, either by the might of the demons or by the rage of the cultists, seeking to either defend there god or punish those who took the god from them. and in hell the Aydahar score another victory.

in hell the Aydahar's usually stay within the endless dunes of Cecelyne, for they have angered many citizens and unqeustanables with there cult snatching, and many 3rd and 2nd circles have bountys for proof of a heretical dragons death. Like there progenitor they have a long standing rivalry with the Priests of Cecelyne. As such no Aydahar has ever been granted citizenship, leaving them vulnerable to retribution by those demons that were summoned by the cults taken over by the Aydahar's.

Sourcerers rarely summon Aydahar's, and when they do it is to use there spirit eating skills and the perfect mirages resulting from that. However, more often it is to manipulate communities so that they can be invaded. While she would never admit it, the scarlet empress summoned more than a few of these demons to conquer certain realm satrapys. This has precedent in the shogunate, and is even used by Lookshy. It must be noted that this tactic does not work on immaculate worshiping cultures, as the immaculate caladar means no single Ayadhar (or even many Heretical Dragons) can manage to replace the beings worshiped, and even if they do the tenets of the immaculate order means they cannot manipulate the cult to there will. In addition, any being of sufficent power cannot be consumed by the Aydahar. These are any being stronger than the average Aydahar, which without a cult to parasite is that of an average first circle demon. as such, greater dead or 2nd/3rd circle demons are immune, as are a raksha of particular strength. of special note is the reaction that ensues when an Aydahar tries to consume an exalted. The charm does work, but while the exalted is killed its essence flares one last time, utterly destroying the heretical dragon. While only dragonbloods are recorded to have this reaction (there element anhiliating the Aydahar utterly) it is only because the Aydahars arent stupid, and wont try it on a celestial exalt. This makes them unusable as hosts for infernal exaltations.

they gain a point of limit for every day they are not allowed to manipulate a pre-existing cult. in game terms there devouring charm only works on beings with the cult merit, and even then it has to be around the power level of a first circle demon or lesser. they have a charm that allows them to tell if a prospective target is applicable.

Well besides the fact they are demons and the world isn’t made of Countless sorcerers they have a tendency of impregnating fauna with demon blooded offspring. And the general issues of having demon staff.

2nd page here they are demon farmers I made in 2nd ed days.
            https://web.archive.org/web/20160315...Under_The_Moon
Jaemi the Harvesters Under the Moon.

Jaemi, the Harvesters Under the Moon.
Demons of the First Circle, Progeny of the Ivory Idol of Salt and Flame The Frowning Idol of Salt and Flames created the first Harvester Under the Moon by incubating the blood of a sacrifice in a beast of Burden for a month. The method is now used by the Jaemi themselves who may produce new Harvesters by creating a pill of their own blood and using it to inseminate a beast of burden which will swell with a new Jaemi for one month and then burst open spawning a full grown Harvester.

The Jaemi are often three or more yards tall with the head of an oxen and the snout of a boar complete with a brass ring etched with characters for Labor in Rocktongue. Their bodies are hunched lean and powerful with calluses and scars from a lifetime of labor and beige fur mixed with jet black thick hairs. Their arms are like a mix between badgers and an ape’s. with three brass clawed fingers and a thumb. They often garb themselves in overalls and they wear a wide brimmed hat made of silver or brass straw to keep the harsh shining of Liger from their eyes. Their horns are brass and thickly grooved.

The Jaemi were made to farm the brass and stone rubble of the Demon City. They have taken to both keeping a farm by themselves, or taking a mate and farming together, or even living in a demonic commune with each demon taking their role. The Jaemi have varied labors that they expect of themselves, and a single Harvester may farm Brass bread, heard Hell Cattle, collect silver and brass timber, and mine the jeweled bowels of the bones of Malfeas all in the same season. Though they find certain labors take priority in certain seasons, all for the sake of diversity, and they an irrepressible urge to only harvest each crop for one season a year. So in the Season of Fire they may harvest Brassbread for the Pastry Smiths at market, and then in the Season of Wood they may plant Bonecorn for the great milltowers to grind for use in tortillas.

The Jaemi are masters at husbanding animals in hell. They often take to breeding with their cattle to create bloodlines of Hellbeast for superior meat, labor, and milk. They see it as their duty to do this ever few generations, and even when summoned into Creation a Sorcerer must take great pains to not have their Harvester breed with local livestock. This is particularly difficult during full moons, when the Jaemi are filled with the urge to “labor” and tend their animals till the sun rises. Much crops may be harvested, and bastards sown during these events.

The Jaemi are rough backbones of Demon culture, they reap the fields to bring food to the markets of the Demon City, and cut lumber and quarry stone for the Hopping Puppeteers to rearrange into tenements, and they provide mined jewels for the Heranhals to make into brooches and rings. They collect Hellcattle milk to made into cheese and wine, and they fish for Kimbery spawn to feed the slaves of their betters. They provide shelter for Neomah to work their craft, and housing for Anuhles so they may harvest their silk, and food for Firmin so they may collect fashion tools for them. The Jaemi support the Demons of Hell so that they may continue their lives of toil and torture, for that is their nature. Most sacred to them is the Blood Red Moon of the Demon City which they worship as a Goddess of the Harvest. Sometimes their Patron even rewards the greatest of them with sacred tools of Orichalcum, Moonsilver, and even Starmetal tainted with Vitriol.
Summoners are drawn to summoning the Jaemi to act as a diverse labor force for a multitude of projects whether it is a Lumber worker, harsh mining, or simple field work, animal sheparding, and even cooking; the Harvesters are familiar with them all and they are excellent brutes and thugs. They make excellent support for any number of other demon slaves.

Refraining from Labor for 25 hours results in one limit. Roll Conviction during a full moon and gain the successes in limit and willpower. They possess the Claws Horn and Hoof Mutations at varying levels spending 6 points of mutations on them. Forcing them to eat or slaughter these beings for meat results in one limit added per day of slaughter.

Excellent. Put the title in bold.

Also, I think you can also talk about how it introduces new forms of worship and obesiance to the Yozis, disguised as 'new rituals' and 'more sacrifices'. It is also much more active than any god, because it's a demon-tool based on cults, not a mere bureaucrat. That means much more faith and prayer, because its much more active and more unsubtle than most gods tend to be. It also tends to give bigger blessings. Things like health, glowing eyes, minor miracles, that's it. Most mortal onlookers don't actually know the miracles and blessings are demon-tainted, ala locust mana plague. Eventually, the cultists are so maddened and so misled by their influence that eventually they abandon all pretense and openly summon demons through thaumaturgy.

Also, you should add in that the Realm sometimes summons these through sorcerers, implanting them within certain communities, and when they finally 'go loud', use it as a pretext to invasion.

                      • Eldagusto I've got some thoughts on the Gildempru.

I know that you stated that they've got the stats of a First Age laboratory. That's unprecedented in the age of sorrows where you might be hard-pressed to find proper glassware for your alchemy lab. And also the sorry state of education and spread of technical knowledge of Creation (no internet, and most definitely very few great libraries) means that they don't know basic safety standards and simple alchemical solutions. You state that they're almost like Star Trek replicators, breaking down and recreating things from their base components, and capable of working just as well as any alchemy lab.

One thing. Can they make alchemy products? Or more accurately, can their innards carry out the equivalent of alchemy? Can they make soups which replace bloodloss, and pastes that stop bleeding? Can they make a hearty pastry that can give the eaters the equivalent of Wind-Fire and Valiant Warrior's Courage? Can they create maiden tea and anagathics, using their essence to substitute raw materials?

Can they serve as raw chemical industry, making paints, cleaning agents, catalysts, and everything else under the sun that requires complex chemical industries that Creation does not have? Can they make modern quality steel from raw ore? Are there Gildempru with recipes and alchemical agents from the first age, when they were used as research labs?

                        Comment

                        • I need to probably rework the Gildempru for 3rd ed. But I imagine they would work best with serving an ambitious Alchemist while they themselves don't understand the concept of the scope of what happens when you can separate the components of wreckage you feed them and the like. But the exceptional ones that somehow survived service with Savants and the like could have such secrets.

Without 2nd Circles specifically cultivating them for labwork or industry they will probably wander into any work that allows them to taste interesting things.

Depending on how people handle having specific Unique Demons of the 1st Circle, I can see ones that develop charms and advance learning to do things as you say, but I would probably not have them create without any raw materials I would probably have the wiser ones learning more and more how to synthesize recipes by processing a wider arrange of items like maybe eating industrial runoff and tin grass and wine and distilling and recombining it into an already heated glass of maiden tea. Or a really seasoned one eating a rare poisonous shadow gecko and glass blown from time and cinnabar to create Anagathic pills.

With the wonders of Hellish Flora I would imagine making Modern Quality Steel something some Gildempru would learn to due based off the sheer metallurgical experience they would have processing various metal plants for Octavians Armory or the like.

                                KAPLAN, THE TIGER GENERALS
                                DEMON OF THE 1ST CIRCLE
PROGENY OF THE TWILIGHT OF THE GODS

It is claimed, that one day the walls of hell shall be breached and its armies shall burst forth into Creation. That day shall herald a sword age that stains the seas with blood, and covers the land with the bodies of the faithful. The gates of heaven shall be broken open and all the stars pulled from the starry vault. So it is claimed by the lords and ladies of hell, and so it shall be.

The Kaplan were created for this war.

Eahc Kaplan looks like a tall human, strong of limb and bronzed skinned, with the wings of an eagle, the head of a lion, and the lower body of a tiger. Their body is like a trumpet, and strikes terror in those who hear it. In their backwards hands they hold a blade of frozen flame, and those struck by it are marked forever after as enemies of the Yozi. Such creatures are dealt aggravated damage by attacks from creatures of darkness and all with Essence sight know of their crime.

Sorcerers summon the Tiger Generals to lead their armies or personal guards. They also serve in a lesser capacity as investigators and judges. Their keen senses excel make them excellent at interrogations, allowing them to ferret out evidence and deceit, while the terror of their voices discourages deception.

Stats: Think slightly modified blood apes

                                Charms:
                                Excellent-Senses: (Permanent)
The Tiger-generals have sharp-eyes and keen minds, capable of cutting through the haze of deception and seeing the micro-tremors of a foe's fear. Roll double-9s for all rolls involving perception or noticing details and secrets.

Trumpet of Hell (10m, 1wp; simple, instant)
The clarion-call of battle for the creators of the universe. Up to long-range, and includes in any forces obeying the demon in question. The clarion-call grants focus and strength to those following the demon, granting the friendly forces +2 in attack and defense rolls (this does not stack). And enemies who hear it gain a +1 difficulty to all rout checks for the rest of the scene. In social combat, roll... Frack it. Roll charisma + appearance vs target's Willpower. Success means that target not only now has a tie of fear towards you, but also has a -3 to penalty to all attempts to defy, hide, or out-talk you.

                                Marking blade (5m, 1wip)

Roll the Kaplan's essence (3) against the target's upon causing lethal damage. Success means that for 1 season all attacks from Creatures of darkness (demons, ghosts, dark gods) are aggravated.
