Hello! As a frequent player of the Twilight caste I often find myself crafting things. For example, maps!

First off, I'd like to thank Isvarg for the link to the 5780 x 3740. That is an impressive size considering the digital clean map for first edition was 5918 x 3592. I had been trying to incorporate the Dreaming Sea area into that one until I came across this map. That's probably why there are no more posts past november two years ago!

Secondly, Astralporing makes a good point. Cherak is gone and since I too cannot find a reason for it's absence, I took the liberty of returning it to its proper place. (Don't forget, you need to download to view 1:1 size)

    https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B5d...ew?usp=sharing

Thirdly, Astralporing also mentioned wanting a blank map... I might be able to do this.

Finally, if anyone has already done this... or has an even ridiculously higher definition, then links please!

This looks great, and better than my attempt! How did you get it all to blend so well and how did you make new trade routes?

Do either of these satisfy the particular itch for a giant map?

Second is the same as the first but with a 500 mile grid.

Being OCD and hours of work (or free time, depending on your point of view)

Both your maps are just a smaller map rescaled, losing value in resolution. The grid idea is fine, but it'd look better using either Isvarg's or mine which are in a much higher resolution. You have to download it to see it's full scale.

When I opened both side by side at max zoom the difference did not appear to be particularly notable.

However, they are not mine. They came from this thread: http://forum.theonyxpath.com/forum/m...e-world-map

I cannot say how the original creator scaled it up.

                Did you download the map?

Then again, the differences are minute... the one on the left has tiny artifacts around it, whereas the map on the right, which is from me, does not. It's the same size, but one is higher in definition. Not by much though, I'll give you that.

Plus, as noted above, my map has Cherak restored.

Oh, also... it says right here in the link you gave.

Isvarg and my maps are not a 2890x1870 scaled up to 5780x3740px. It is at the original 5780x3740 size. It's barely noticeable but I'm super OCD about it. As you can probably tell by my posts. Sorry.

OCD is not a bad thing when it comes to maps.

So tempted to print this version out. Wonder how big I could go without losing any quality? The group I'm planning for has a player thinking merchant-style Eclipse and I just know he'll be wanting to draw on new routes, mark borders etc. If I can print a version for him nice and big he'd absolutely adore that..... the freak!

Would anyone create the 500 mile grid on this map? Pretty please.

Its super handy, as 500x500 miles is equivalent to 1.2 the size of modern france. Which helps give an idea of what such an area can contain.
