Basically it was a form of syncretism that ended up dropping a lot of the old-school Mongolian stuff over time, but which wouldn't, I think, have sparked a direct conflict between the two pantheons due to the way it happened unless the Mongol gods actually sat down and looked back at how it went and decided to blame the Bon for it - which some of them might, there are a few more introspective members who might do that, but it wouldn't really be a united conflict.
    Why the Bön deities, though? They got just as fucked over by Tibetan Buddhism.

      Me being dumb and confused because my coffee hasn't kicked in yet.

      Or I could argue that the Mongols tar with a broad brush anyway and will fight anyone, I guess, but nah it's just me being dumb.
