Perhaps I am showing my age, but didn't White Wolf have an official event called "Graduate your Game" where you could turn in your 3rd edition D&D core book to receive a 2nd Edition Exalted core book for free, complete with PDF diploma for upgrading to the "superior game"? This was back around 2008.

The team involved has a lot of talent and past successes. So I am cautiously optimistic.


I wonder if this will start with just a VtM type of show before moving on to others. If some VtM show makes money, then maybe the producers will feel like risking money on a WtA or MtAs show. VtM is the easier to get your head around, and could serve as an entry point for the larger WoD.

Objectively the worst starwars commander on the big-screen (Worst from an in-universe perspective. From the viewer's experience he can't be objectively the worst, but he'd probably rank bottom 2 for most)

Anyhow, It would actually be a problem to set it in the V5 timeline. You'd miss too much and it'd be too hard to follow. You've gotta build the Tremere up before you blow them up.

I don’t think the old Kindred: The Embraced show actually included the Tremere at all, in fact. Anyway, you don’t need to provide exposition for the entire VTM background in the first episode, so no, you don’t need to build up any Clan or individual vampire in order to have them represented in their current situation in a TV show.

Let's be fair. When the first and main thing that the writer mention is "inclusivity", you know that we'll have a mediocre show at best.

My best hope would be HBO proper to really go for it with an authentic feel, I'd have less hope for Netflix, though Emily in Paris was really good and they continued Cobra Kai and the Last Kingdome well when they picked them up. Hulu I doubt I'd watch it. Network TV would just be waisted potential, maybe the station that did Justified would pull off something but I would have really low expectations.

Acting usually comes down to casting unless the whole cast is bad, then I blame the director. I don't think a vampire show needs a terribly large budget. The writing will be the biggest factor to me, and I really hope they don't run it into the ground with flashbacks ala Angel or Arrow if you don't mind the mixed genre reference.
