Rahod, I like the writeup in general. I think the Crinos Stamina bonus is too high, but that's a minor nitpick (and Saur Ops Specialist already mentioned the Dodge thing). The Natural Flaws section is a bit much. Corax and Hollow Boned Mokole don't even take a +2 penalty to soak. And +2 to all extended actions is also harsh.

This sentence is also confusing: "Many of the kinfolks the Sciuridae have are Squirrels and Metis." Metis aren't kinfolk since they're Fera. Maybe you meant that the Sciuridae are mostly squirrels and Metis?

But all in all, I like the concept and stat spread. Good job.

I see your point those points could be move or adjusted into something like Dexterity for a total of +3.

        I would.

And they could have access to a background similar to the Ratkin's Freak Factor background which could cover some common innate spirit tricks from their Umbral heritage.

I think both those natural difficulties could be lowered to +1 but I see they are needed to remain due to the frail nature of the squirrel and their short attention span. As for the dodge +3 any input would be helpful.

Let me correct my self here "Most of the Sciuridae kinfolk are squirrels, due to the low population they welcome Metis as equals not as honored or shunned as other changers do."

I might limit the +1 to soak to animal form then. Crinos should remind unaffected. The + to dodge can either be rolled in to a Dex bonus or an added dif to hit them (since they're small) or both.

Ah okay. There is also precedent for Spirit heritage which would make sense for this Fera. You can also decide that either they don't have Metis at all or that their Metis don't suffer deformities (like Kitsune). In any of these cases, their Metis can be treated as equals.

I agree with the +1 to soak in animal form and i would most likely put the bonus goes to dex to make it more simplified. I would say their metis don't suffer deformities like the Kitsune it makes more sense with their lower population and Gaia's need for this breed.

Probably because they wouldn't be that mechanically distinct from rats.

Too much sugar. Go with squash seeds or squash seed oil instead.

A thought. Squirrels are supposed to have powerful memories. They should get some qualities or gifts related to that. Nothing Mnesis related, that's the Mokole's wheelhouse, but stuff like eidetic memory and flawless mental maps. It would play very well into their stated gathering mission.

I could see them having a background like Mnesis but only relating to talons and fetishes.

Kinda like ~ I remember a story once told of a great and powerful Klaive that was lost to the sea during the rage wars... now thinking about it. It should be somewhere around here *points to a location on a map*
