  • Mr. Pickles and the Wyrm

I've been watching Mr Pickles (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mr._Pickles) again and was struck by how much inspiration I can pull from the show.

Mr Pickles could be many things. He could be a animal fomori or a Lupus Black Spiral Dancer. The entrance to his hive is in his dog house.

The Goodman family are BSD kin which would explain Mr. Pickles interest in the family. Especially his sexual attraction to the mother.

The father works for a Pentex subsidiary.

Not sure where the grandfather would fit in. Anyone got any ideas for him?

Well, if he is a Lupus BSD, then he is an unusually patient and sane one (or he could just be a Homid BSD that likes the freedom of playing a dog). I would imagine that he is using his Gifts to infiltrate the community and, off screen, is using his Gifts to take the appearance of the husbands of the community in order to impregnate the wives with his seed. Every night, he finds slips into another bedroom while the husband is passed out drunk on the couch and attempts to impregnate another woman. The other stuff that he does is just for fun and perversion.

I can totally see Mr. Pickles as a Lupus BSD -- using the Child of Gaia Gift Domestic Seeming to con everyone into thinking he's a dog. Also, I don't see it as this family of Black Spiral Kin -- I think the entire town is a bunch of Black Spiral Kin. Alternately, the town works great as a farcical representation of what Red Talons (or even just Lupus in general) view Humanity to be.

Why are you always the one to go right to this kind of stuff?

I mean, he does, but Mr. Pickles is rife with bestiality references. I'd like to think that Pentex-backed cartoons would look a lot like Mr. Pickles. That stuff is unpleasant to watch by design and makes my soul feel bad.

I can see Brickleberry fitting that role too.

I'll admit I can usually only watch a couple episodes of Mr. Pickles before I have to leave the room.

Yeah, that is how it was for me also. I watched one and had to go do something else, haha.

Because that is the nature of evil, especially in a setting like cWoD. Evil people use rape and sexual exploitation for their edification and as a tool to accomplish their goals. I think it is unrealistic to think that something as evil as one of the BSD would not use rape and sexual exploitation.

I think BSD would be tickled pink to use their powers to rape hundreds of women (the women did not consent to have sex with them but, instead, with their husbands) over a decade without anyone involved understanding that they had been violated. When they 'run away' after a decade, they have sired an average of 90 children (9 Garou and 81 Kinfolk). If the community is old enough, the BSD Tribe could repeat the same tactic every decade, gradually transforming the entire community into a BSD Kinfolk community over a century or two.

Just feels like every time I see you discuss the nature of evil, you have to bring up really bizarre sexual situations consistently. Not just here, but talking about Vampires, Nephandi, etc. Seems like your go-to.

Is there actually a way for a Garou to steal a particular Human's appearance? Is that a gift, fetish, or ritual?

I think Brickleberry would work best as the "National Park" section of Wolfhome.

Actually, now that I think about it, Mr. Pickles' town would work great as pocket-realm vaguely associated with Malfeas -- a representation of what the Black Spirals want to turn all of human society into as part of their master plan to usher in the Apocalypse. Either that or there's a door somewhere in the Temple Obscura to it and it serves as nothing more than a Black Spiral Ragabash "amusement park".

The Fourth Rank Glass Walker Gift Doppelganger comes to mind immediately. I'm pretty sure that there would be at least a few others, but can't recall off-hand.

Damn. Rank four gets all the fun gifts. I don't think I ever played in a game that went past Rank 3.

Never got past one, here. That's why I want to see more experienced starting character options more often than usual. (^VVVVVV^)
