I originally enquired about the "absence of a moon" part because so I heard in one of the "Apocalypse" scenarios, a colossal meteor shatters OUR moon in half, and thereby crippling the ability of the ENTIRE Garou nation to regain Gnosis and Rage.

So in retcon, it dosen't have to be OUR Moon for a Garou to be spiritually attuned to it?
That part of the Ragnarok scenario didn't really follow wholly from W:tA lore, since destruction of the physical moon wouldn't have reduced Luna to Incarna status; as a spirit of Celestine rank, she could remake the moon if it were completely destroyed, as the spirit matters more than the physical substance in anchoring something to existence. Also, it only interfered with Rage recovery; Gnosis is recovered differently, and more or less independently of Luna.

How the relationship works is that Garou and Fera seem to be able to venture as far away as they want from Earth with little to no ill effects, though of course spending too long on one side of the Gauntlet can result in the typical dangers of being stuck or turning into a spirit. They can still regain Rage from other sources, just not from seeing the moon, which is typically not possible without some substantial chicanery on the spirit side of things.

I enjoyed the book overall (though that wasn't really the question).
But yea, Saur Ops Specialist covered answering (I disagree on Luna being able to just remake the physical moon, but Luna would still be a Celestine regardless of a physical correspondence). The Moon being missing would only really take away the fastest/safest means of Rage recovery. It wouldn't have any other effect on Rage.

For the second part: it's our moon that matters, insomuch as it's Luna that matters. But even without her, I don't think anything would change for system-wise for Garou (a lot might change IC outlook-wise). She helped create them, but they are (somewhat) independent of her now. Garou have Rage and a Silver vulnerability with or without Luna now, imo.
