But no Rage spending on that turn, which is why the Activate for damage weapons tend to be low Fetish rating and things like Klaives are high fetish rating.

While not expressed this way in the books, as an emergent property? Fang Daggers are a Ragabash weapon. Use those stealthy powers to ambush people with a huge Agg damage attack, since you don't have the Rage to be the blender of doom of the Galliards and Ahrouns.

Yep, it's a common weapon for a Ragabash but then so is the Assassin Klaive

Isn't that redundant? I mean, it is a fetish from a Shadow Lord TB, but its poweres are similar enough to Ragabash gifts/Rites of various editions, so a regular agg dealing weapon or mundane silver knife would surfice. Fearie Weapon from the Fianna TB is a fairly low cost fetish that does agg as its only power and is like a catch-all fetish for magical items of other supernaturals that a garou might get his hands on.

            Yep, but it still happens.
TBH Klaives (regular not Grand) are kind of annoying without Klaivaskar to back them up as any Rank 1 Theurge could get a silver weapon made and then perform a Rite of Awakening on it and have something that will be functional as a weapon and utterly deadly to most shifters. (Although that said I am working on an ST Vault project to do with stuff like this).

Klaives do not need to be activated. Level four fetishes have a constant secondary power that need not to be activated, and Klaives happen to be one of them. Reference is Storyteller's Handbook (Revised)

Umm your reference is misunderstood, it doesn't say that, it only gives a rank 4 fetish general (and probably optional) rule, and the quote ''klaive dealing silver damage'' doesn't really help. Klaives do silver damage coz they are made of silver and their power to do aggravated to all targets is their major power, not a secondary one, Plus in W20 its a general rule for all fetishes their activation roll.

Klaives are deadly because they are doing aggravated damage to all targets and you can use them with sword manouvers, parry, reposte, etc. Awakened silver blades might be more durable but they still won't do aggravated damage to non-shifters. Klaives might look weaker than they should, but they are stronger than meets the eye.

You would think so until you realize that a ton of things also don't soak lethal. Klaives are stronger because of the lack of activation requirements otherwise if you need a weapon you just go Fang Dagger or you just go with Claws and Rage (and maybe Razor Claws because who doesn't want to hit as hard as a Klaive at diff 5?).

                      Now you scratch wounds !
You know something, the truth is that is nowhere written that a klaive specifically needs to be activated to do aggravated damage, another example is the D'siah that always does aggravated damage to Wyrm creatures with no activation roll.

Klaives would be awesome if the were unsoakable by normal armor or wyrm creatures, not just werewolves.

Truth is that damage escalation in W20 is a bit confusing.

For me Razor Claws do +1 damage at -1 difficulty, I deny to use the W20 version

What are the stats for Labrys?
