  • Persuasion assisted Social actions, possible results?

Persuasion has always seemed Like a overly vague gift to me would like ideas on what effects it can create.... its one of the most basic and widely found gifts, so needs some help extrapolating.

Was thinking if your a lawyer in court.

ideas how much more you can get out of judge?

but this all leads to it being a highly sought after gift by kinfolk right next to Apecraft’s Blessings

Both have no cost, both let a kinfolk significantly improve their Career's in many fields.

Imagine how much less stressfull being a cab driver would be with lower difficult for driving across town.

wonder how Persuasion and The Curse Equal out, you know the guys charming, but kind of scary?

Seducing someone who wouldn't normally be interested? Sure. Talking your way out of a speeding ticket and convincing the cop not to search your car? Definitely!

"Do Your Gott-Dammed Homework, Kid!" "Sit down, pay attention, stop squirming, stop looking out the window, don't you dare chew gum in my class, etc." Makes sense to me.

hmmn ideas on good dice pool for that, or to get a young kinfolk to accept her place in garou society and not worry about the harebrained bullshit about inherent rights equality and other garbage.

    Thought id ask.

9-10, plus it will need consequent successful rolls, or a session (sessions) about it and one roll in the end for the result modified by the role playing effort of the pc and the successful activation of Persuasion, in order to have a permanent effect.

Persuasion cannot make a violent parent to become a model parent, it needs an entire story effort for that, but it can make a parent to be calm and keep his wits for this specific conversation with his child. The ''if''' he will keep choosing this kind of approach on similar situations its up to the player character's charismatic success or failure upon the entire family, with the aid of Persuasion of course.

Wow ! Didn't take note on that before, you are right ! ... well it still only can make a difficulty 10 social roll a difficulty 9 so it may call for gambling rp and rolls that may turn bad :P.

Actually that's not true in W20, which lists Persuasion as a Fianna and Glass Walker tribal gift, in addition to being a homid breed gift. I'll grant that Glass Walker lupus and Fianna metis are as rare as hen's teeth, but there are some lupus Fianna and some Glass Walker metis, and they might want it, even if it's primarily useful when you're in your homid form. The simple fact that it's listed as a Rank 1 gift for two different tribes in addition to the homid breed indicates to me that it's not exclusively accessible to homids.

The Persuasion gift can be used on hostile targets and even make them change mind and go away, this gift makes even nigh-impossible social outcomes to happen, difficult, but it has that potential.
