  • Accidental Houserules

    When I first read the rules for exceptional successes, though I forget the pages or books, these feats of prowess were apparently gained "by rolling five additional successes". Six, naturally, became the quoted rule at the table, corroborated by a gaming group and partner who probably should have paid a bit more attention themselves too :P Thus far, it's been pretty nice actually. We've also added a few dramatic failure rules since then, and even though the difficulty hasn't risen significantly from what we're used to, there's sometimes a palpable tension at the table even for relatively mundane rolls.

    What about you? Any misunderstandings lead to a staple of your gameplay?
