Funnily enough, vampires would be one type of creature that can be able to soak most of that damage despite having fire as a bane.

What I meant is that the armour piercing quality of thermite (and lava) doesn't really matter for some vampires due to how Resilience works. Other supers will have a harder time soaking since, as far as I know, most types of soak are through armour values.
