South Carolina's Boo Hags can also be found here in coastal Georgia. Supposedly Calhoun Square here in Savannah is infested with them as a result of the square being named after a major slavery apologist while also being built on top of a mass slave grave, which understandably pissed off the restless ghosts of the slaves and lead to the land there "turning sour" as the Gullah put it.

In the case of Polybius, watch the special episode the (usually) fiction podcast The Truth did on it. If it was real, it was totally either a weird way to soften up people in some way before the GM turned them into Cryptid horrors or a trap by a True Fae looking for new playthings

And here in Georgia we have everything from Emily isabella Burt, our states resident werewolf, to the Georgia guide stones which contain instructions for humanity to follow after a hypothetical apocalypse.
