    1001 CofD Plot Hooks

This thread is a bunch of plot hooks for the Chronicles of Darkness setting that don't feel like they go into any of the other plot hook lists on this site for the setting.
Sorry if that's a bit of a ramble & you have to read it a few times to understand it. I know I would.

    27) A bunch of people get hit by a surge of energy. This causes them to, at random times, in one group, enter some other place &/or time. Quickly establishing that any injuries they incur while in one of these other places/times, you must survive wherever you find yourselves in & search for a way to stop this from happening.
    ● I'm primarily looking at Dark Eras for these other places/times, but not limiting myself to that.

Note that this disease should be non-supernatural & not be a Contagion (possibly, I don't actually know what the qualifies a disease as a possible Contagion, but I'd like to keep away from this being automatically a Contagion).
It’d certainly make covering up their activities harder, and they’d have to become more reliant on technology to stay in contact without blowing their covers (or Covers, in the case of the Unchained).

    25) The region was very quiet on the supernatural front. Very quiet. Then an explosion of energy hit the region. Now supernatural activity is on a steady rise, & doesn't look to be slowing down or stopping any time soon.

18-A) Despite the info gathered, the exact location of the group holiday is, beyond it being somewhere in the [Insert-Tropical-Area/Region/Country/Whatever], along with the identities of the lovers (and, indeed, anything beyond the affairs existence) are unknown. The PC Troupe has been assembled/chosen* to find the leaders and get some dirt on the couple.

*Depending on ST fiat as necessary.

It's because Sworn and False groups as written as logical extensions of possible crossover alliances. Here are few quotes from Ship of Theseus ( KS Preview version ):
Our kind have been around for a long time. Haven’t you noticed how much harder it is to get by, how much more work it takes now to stick to the shadows? We’ve become complacent. Humans evolve over centuries; why would we be any different? But we resist. We stick to our traditions and old ways, assuming that our predecessors knew best while the world of today leaves us behind. The New marches on while the Old plants its feet, and the friction between them — the sparks that fly — that’s the Contagion. The gears are grinding against unyielding stone. We must be not as stone but as water, flowing and changing.
    (...)
What we stand to gain: Progress. Rebirth. A new beginning, and freedom from these glitches that plague us. If we can learn to evolve, to grow and change, we’ll reach the pinnacle of what we are and transcend it into something more. Something better. Call it New Dawn, Apotheosis, Hell, whatever you like — just don’t call it out of reach. We blaze the trail and leave breadcrumbs for the other Sworn to follow.
    (...)
Pockets of us with similar beliefs cropped up from time to time during localized outbreaks, among such groups as alchemists, Buddhists, Hindus, futurists, and rebels. These pockets disbanded once their respective crises ended, but their accumulated wisdom slowly circulated among their spiritual successors with each subsequent outbreak. We convened as true Sworn during the serious one in the mid-19th century, while the works of Chambers and Darwin circulated madly throughout the Western world. Debates raged among us: were we evolving too? Should we adapt, or was adaptation just another word for becoming Contagious?
    (...)
Each outbreak heralds a new step in supernatural evolution. It’s a sign that a reckoning is coming for us Sworn, one that decides who transcends and who is destroyed in the aftermath. We study our apotheosis myths for commonalities, and pursue them together. Our Created like to say we’re all embarking on a collective Great Work, and we seek out Firestorms deliberately to watch them wreak their glorious havoc. We fund Ordo Dracul experiments, hunt down Sariras, help our Begotten claim hives and establish Myths, and anything else we can do to push each other along our respective journeys to revolution and revelation.

Really? Well I haven't gotten around to reading any of the Contagion Chronicles in any great depth.
I know of the False & the Sworn (but not the individual groups under these two headings) & the basic difference between them.
I know of that the Contagion isn't a single, supernatural infection that threatens all every so often.
And that's pretty much all my knowledge on the subject at the moment.
    So any similarities? Purely coincidental.

    23) You were just having a laugh when you made it up. A freshly-made, spooky urban legend to tell your friends late at night.
Then you discovered a murdered corpse. Where you found it, the location, shape, & orientationof the wounds.
But how can this be? You'd only just told your friends a couple of nights ago, & there's no record of it beyond memory!

    22) Three individuals descended from the heavens. They called themselves the Sky Father, the Ocean King, & the Death Lord, & referred to each other as "brother".
They proclaimed that they were the first of the gods returned to rule us once again because we are apparently rather shit at ruling ourselves.
Oh, & they're also sociopathic assholes.
Plus, the rest of the gods are also returning, these three were just a bit quicker by virtue of being the top gods.

    21) You're an assortment of supernaturals with no memory of how you got on what looks like a starship.
Also, it looks like the starship is on its very last legs.

    20) A Mortal con-man has been doing a perfect job of pretending to be various supernatural beings in the area. Suspiciously accurate, his antics have both been a good distraction, yet very concerning. Even the Hunters are kind of ticked off with him and are trying to figure out where he got all this information.

Now you're being dragged into the various supernatural societies, & there's no way out.
