      Re: Santa Muerte

For a figure like Santa Muerte (and the same extends to most other deities and figures of worship), usually don't like putting numbers to them. This is both for the mechanical considerations trying to assign power levels to an actual figure of worship, and out of respect to any that follow said figure.

That being said, an entity that represents an aspect of such a being can be used to great effect. So while it is unlikely that "Santa Muerte" herself would ever appear in game, any of the following possibilities could be used to great effect. It will depend on the game you are running and for what type of characters.

A Death Spirit that has grown powerful from the essence generated by her veneration would make an interesting foil for a group of players.

A Goetic Entity representing her worship could also be used in a game where Astral Entities are prevalent.

An Ancient Ghost can take on her identity - this could even be the Geist bonded to a Sin Eater.

An Angel sent by the God Machine to encourage the worship of Santa Muerta, to its own inscrutable ends.

I will post an example below. This is example is set as a spirit, but can be adjusted to other ephemeral types.

      Señora de las Sombras
“Señora de las Sombras” is a spirit born from the fervent prayers to Santa Muerte -Our Lady of the Holy Death. The spirit is old, but was always of limited power, until recent years when the veneration Santa Muerte has become more and more widespread, radically increasing its power. The spirit considers itself an avatar Santa Muerte (she may even be correct in this assumption), acting on her behalf as an agent of vengeance and protection. Señora de las Sombras takes a form often associated with Santa Muerte – a skeletal figure dressed as a bride and adorned with jewelry of beads, silver and gold. She carries a golden globe in one hand, and a scythe in the other.

      Corpus 13, Size 5, Initiative 17, Defense 8, Speed 22

Ban: Can only manifest where the iconography of Santa Muerte is present Bane: Owl feather bound in silver thread
Manifestation: Discorporate, Image, Reaching, Twilight Form

        Excellent creations as always!

I was wondering if you could try to create some generic Angels. Here are some suggestions for functions:

        1) A guard who patrols Infrastructure hidden behind common locations such as libraries, museums and warehouses

        2) A low level employee such as an errand boy who makes sure important messages are sent to the right people

        3) A high Rank overseer-type who controls a pocket dimension facility where many Angels are created/stored and Demons are imprisoned/reprogrammed. A prime location for Angel-Jacking and a high profile target for a Saboteur mission.

        4) A Terminator style juggernaut meant to take down particularly powerful supernaturals or stubborn mortals by blending into its surroundings.

          5) A middle-manager/sub-contractor Angel that manipulates/controls others into building up or tearing down its projects.

          6) A crowd-sourcing Hunter Angel that uses a combination of information leaks, framing, and hate-plagues to get others to eliminate its targets (structure, phenomena, or creature).

          7) A low-Rank information kiosk-like Angel that's only job is to get the right piece of information into the right hands, as needed.

A Terminator style juggernaut meant to take down particularly powerful supernaturals or stubborn mortals by blending into its surroundings.
            Chromatic
The Angel known as “Chromatic” is an entity designed to track down and eliminate troublesome individuals, typically supernatural entities too powerful to be dealt with by more subtle means. It named for its natural form – which is a rubbery-fleshed thing that vaguely resembles a cephalopod and glows with a pulsing kaleidoscope of bright colors. This form is rarely seen – it normally uses it abilities to camouflage itself or possess unassuming mortals in order to get close enough to its quarry to strike.

A high Rank overseer-type who controls a pocket dimension facility where many Angels are created/stored and Demons are imprisoned/reprogrammed.
            The Curator
“The Curator” is an Angel that manages multiple installations within a region where angels are kept between missions. The Curators knowledge of local infrastructure is expansive, and it often debriefs the angels in its care for further information (especially concerning potential threats and obstacles). Despite its immense power, the curator rarely acts directly – it prefers to act through lower ranking angels that it directs with razor sharp precision. The Angel appears as a towering, androgynous figure, with skin the color of brass and eyes that are softly glowing fields of static. It wears clothing that conveys authority (currently a sharply tailored black suit) but is always barefoot.

            Signal
The Angel called “Signal” was created to keep lines of communication between differing elements of infrastructure are open and clear. It is deployed to act as a counter agent when enemies of the God Machine work to sabotage communications and spread misinformation. If necessary, the angel is more than capable of delivering particularly sensitive information personally. Signal appears as a boy in early adolescence, dressed in white. His shirt has a red glyph marked on it – the word for “Voice” in Enochian.

            Watchman
Watchman is an Angel tasked with watching designated infrastructure where important objects or information are held. It is frequently assigned to libraries, museums, and warehouses. The Angel always appears as a fit but otherwise non-descript man in his early thirties (details such as race change depending on what would blend in easiest). He wears a dark blue security uniform and wears a silver badge. A radiant light shines from his eyes.

                    Echo Chamber
The Angel called Echo Chamber that tracks down and destroys those deemed a threat to one of the God Machines plans. It does so by manipulating others into going after its targets, with favorite medium being disaffected souls that frequent online forums and discussions. From there it will inspire its pawn to violent action (using whatever argument and providing whatever evidence is needed to convince them), and then send it against its true target. Echo Chamber has the body of an androgynous human dressed in contemporary clothing, but its head is a flat screen monitor that shows scrolling lines of code. Faint patterns of circuitry and LEDs lay under its skin.

                    Page
Sometimes the God Machine needs very specific individuals to discover specific information. For this, it sends “Pages” – low ranking angels with little memory beyond a specific topic (but the information about that topic, as well as topics that provide context, it knows extensively). They are subtle, often quietly adding investigations or research that are ongoing or have stalled. When manifest, Pages appear as nondescript female humans with a scholarly or academic mode of dress (typically several years out of fashion.

                    The Tailor
The Tailor is sent to organize the downfall of organizations on behalf of the God Machine. While its targets are typically cults that have outlived its usefulness, it has also been known to target other groups for reasons no one other than the God Machine can discern. It acts indirectly, severing the strings of fate to engineer the proper sequence of accidents, coincidences, and seemingly random occurrences that tear away at an organizations resource, influence and personnel until it can no longer function. The Tailor appears as a middle-aged man dressed in black with a white tie and carrying a set of highly-polished shears.

I think we could use more benevolent spirits (as far as our notions of benevolence can be applied to them). Here are some suggestions:

                      1) A kindness spirit that rewards those who help the poor, sick and defenseless
                      2) A courage spirit that enhances the capacities of those who are afraid of pursuing their Aspirations or resolving Conditions
                      3) A truth spirit that will help you solve mysteries and other investigations, but demands truthfulness from you too
                      4) A justice spirit that helps law enforcers catch criminals and the wrongly accused clear their names

                        Re: Benevolent Entities

The nature of spirits makes depicting them as truly "benevolent" difficult. Even spirits of concepts and things humans would consider positive are still alien and overwhelming selfish creatures. That being said, I like positioning these types of spirits as potential allies in a "quid pro quo" sort of way, or at the very least an antagonist with a more interesting angle than this weeks murder/death/mayhem spirits.

                        Calico Curious
The entity known as “Calico Curious” is a type of spirit referred to as a Magath, a hybrid of clashing resonances. The spirit is both a cat spirit and a spirit of truth, specifically when it comes to unraveling mysteries of all sorts. It follows detectives, investigative journalists, researchers and others that are dedicated to uncovering truths. Calico Curious appears like its namesake – a large calico cat with fur patterned like puzzle pieces and glowing orange eyes.

The Kindly Stranger is a wandering spirit that draws essence from acts of charity, particularly from the small acts of kindness bestowed to the poor, the ill, and the oppressed. It often takes human form, walking among the masses offering using its powers to give and relief when necessary. It can occasionally be roused to violence by acts of cruelty or selfishness. It manifests as handsome, older man dressed in black, but its true form is a thick cloud of incandescent gold vapor.

                        Righteous Verdict
The spirit Righteous Verdict is an entity of balance and justice that draws it essence when miscarriages of justice are corrected. This does not need to be a legal correction; a falsely imprisoned person escaping satisfies the entity as much as if they are legally exonerated and released. The entity is driven by justice, not law. Righteous Verdict appears in dark robes and a deep hood that obscures it features, it carries a clay tablet in one hand and a worn gavel in the other. “Tomorrow” is a spirit of Motivation. It uses its Influence to bolster those who have suffered a defeat or setback to keep working and striving. It will typically focus on a single individual at a time, using its power to push that individual forward to difficulty and hardship. While largely a “positive” spirit, it does not understand the concept of “cutting losses” and will keep its thrall working towards goals that are unobtainable. Tomorrow appears as an androgynous child, with golden skin and radiant light coming from its eyes and mouth.
