  • Mortal Remains - Red in Tooth and Claw

As per this week's Monday Meeting Notes, it appears that KS backers will be getting access to the Beast Mortal Remains chapter tomorrow! Super exciting!

Edit: I thought that the update said this Wednesday, but it actually says this week. Tomorrow would be a logical day, however.

I'm jealous, I was more than a little poor when that KS was up so I missed out. Hope to see it in the not too distant future

I know how you feel. I missed out on Mummy and Demon by choice and regret it every time something comes out for those lines.

I just got my download link for it.

I haven't read it yet. I'm still looking at the cover.

        Is that. . .

        I mean.

I have a feeling this is going to be interesting.

I didn't back Beast, but I'm profoundly curious about all this. The materials that were previewed were all stellar, especially the Merrick Institute.

          Just call me Lex.

          Female pronouns for me, please.

Oh Jesus. Well that was unexpected.

The Cheiron Group section was certainly interesting.

The Reckoning is.. Interesting. Hunters that functionally support the monsters, that even see the monsters are right.

A little on the nose, but amusing. The little hands gets me. The idea of implanting a Beast's hunger into humans has some pretty terrifying potential though.

It's cute, but i think it fundamentally misses the point a bit. ED meds treat a physical circulatory issue, not a lack of emotional desire. I think it would have been stronger to use the opportunity to talk about how Clinical Depression deadens emotions and desires, and how even intensifying negative "hungers" becomes desirable.

I like the simplified rules for Hunters in the Primordial Dream, and I find it interesting they track damage the same way Changelings do.

Dream Avatar and the related merits are really strong, and it's very cool to see antagonists who can realistically challenge Beasts on their home turf and win.

Another excellent addition to the Hunter's arsenal.

Also, major props for presenting both Beasts and Heroes even handedly in the eyes of the Hunters. Questions like, "Just how dangerous are Bests & Heroes to the human populace?" should be questions that Hunters are asking when dealing with those touched by Nightmare.

I'm a little lost with terms utilized. When the book says Dream World it is referencing to Primordial Dream, just simple dreams or Astral Realms in general?
