So one of the big parts of Begotten mythology is that a huge number of other creatures in the setting (vampires, werewolves, faeries, Prometheans, mummies, etc.). Whether or not it's true isn't really important in my opinion.
However, this part of Begotten mythology got my attention & I started thinking, what if there were creatures out there that genuinely had this as how they came to be?
Thus were born the Begotten-Spawned, a.k.a. the Children's Children, & sometimes referred to as "little cousins" by Begotten.
Things to consider when creating Begotten-Spawned are:
• Family of the progenitor.
• Hunger of the progenitor.
• Aspirations of the progenitor.
• What was the going through the progenitor's mind at the time of "spawning" or what were they doing?
• The design of the progenitor's Horror.
• Merits the progenitor has/had.
• Atavisms the progenitor has/had.
• Established kinships of the progenitor.
• Seriously anything else that might work.
In the following posts I will establish a range of ideas for various Begotten-Spawn, some more fleshed out than others.
