knowing a bunch of occult secrets and having tons of bargains that favor her with powerful entities could work. Also, anyone can do stuff like exorcisms and minor luck trinkets I think.

Oh, and look up Primordial Sorcery

        • The Night Drinker: A literal Apex Predator, the thing now known as The Night Drinker achieved their Incarnate state some time ago and has since been leaving a trail of unsolvable murders in her wake. There are no signs of forced entry, no signs of a struggle, no signs the victim knew they were in danger of any kind. All the investigators have is a dehydrated corpse and an estimated time of death somewhere between 12:00 PM and 6:00 AM. Fortunately, the lack of hard evidence has so far prevented authorities from discovering the truth of what's going on. But everyone in the Hive is nervous about how much longer she can keep this up. She's bound to make a mistake sooner or later, and she just might end up exposing the rest of them in the process!

Her Lair is both one of familiarity and disoritentation. Victims pulled in may find the surrounding environment to resemble the inside of a house, or an office complex, or some other place that one might ordinarily feel safe and secure. It is heavily storming outside, with rain coming down in sheets and booming thunder claps at irregular intervals which always seem perfectly timed for a jump scare. It is the middle of the night and the power is knocked out, leaving victims to rely on their night vision as they fumble around the environment looking for some place to wait out the storm. Unbeknownst to them, however, they are not alone. There is a killer in the building with them and it has no problems navigating around in the dark! And to make matters worse, nobody's bothered to recharge any of the batteries around here, leaving electronic and digital equipment to be unreliable when needed most!

As the Apex, The Night Drinker's Lair imposes the Poor Light trait onto the Hive.

          Family: Eshmaki

          Hunger: Prey

Horror: A possible cousin to the Moth Man, The Night Drinker resembles a giant, bipedal mosquito with a spear-like appendage growing out of her face, which she uses to siphon the blood of her prey until her abdomen is swollen with fresh blood. Its sleek, sinewy body moves about with insect agility and its large, purple eyes gleam like reflectors in bright light. Like a normal mosquito, she moves through the environment with barely a sound. Most of the time her prey has no idea she is even present until after she's begun to feed on them!

Myth: A silent killer who comes in the night.

Lair: Poor Light, Sealed Exits, Downpour, Thunderous, Disruption, Maze

Atavisms: Wings of the Raptor, Relentless Hunter, Shadowed Soul, From the Shadows, Needs Must, Unbreakable

Nightmares: You Cannot Run, Behold my True Form, You Can't Wake Up, You Will Never Rest, Fear is Contagious, You are Not Alone

Beast Shape: Flight, Piercing Sight, One with the Shadows, Superior Atavism (From the Darkness, ) Unnatural Healing, Uncanny Speed

          • B. Jillian Eyes:

"Nothing, I repeat NOTHING gets by her. She has eyes everywhere!"

"I've been watching you from the moment you crossed the border into my territory; and I've already counter planned around you."

Jillian Eyes, or 'Bajillion Eyes' as she's known around the supernatural community is a nosey woman who has her hands in virtually every social circle the Hive has to offer. You name a clique, organization, gang or movement and she's got connections there. She has the entire hive and possibly even more than that under her personal supervision. This makes her a dangerous threat, but also an invaluable asset. If you need to get in touch with a more reclusive or hostile faction, she's the one you can get you a meeting. If you're trying to hunt down an elusive adversarry, she's the one who can give you a complete itinerary about their operations and the up to date blueprints for their hideouts. Jillian is a world class information broker, easily one of the best in the business!

As a Tyrant, Jillian uses her vast information network to remain several steps ahead of the competition. She does not care for premature gloating and veiled threats, she saves her monologues for the sweet, savory moment when her enemies discover she had a head start on them days ago and now they're playing catch up!

Jillian's Lair is a paranoid schizophrenic's worst nightmare. A sprawling city of moist flesh and putrescent fluids with eyes of all different shapes and sizes embedded around the environment. Buildings, vehicles, street signs and everything else that clutters the streets and alleyways is constantly watching you from all directions. Physical contact with these eyes causes them to water and rapidly blink the pain away, but it soon refocuses its attention on you, its lids narrowing to portray is agitation. But being constantly observed is only part of the problem, for trespassers also must deal with assaults on their audio and visual senses. Hallucinated sounds and images plague their travels through the Lair; hopefully depriving them of their ability to tell what is real and what is fake. Getting separated for even a moment is thought to be a death sentence for any hostile groups moving through the area!

            Family: Anakim

            Hunger: Power

Horror: A beholder, that's the only way to adequately describe this entity that seems to be literally made out of visual sensory organs. It doesn't have a head, instead there is a horrifically large and empty eye socket atop its shoulders. Instead of lashes, the lids sport a row of carnivorous teeth, and the inside of the socket is a cavernous black hole with a trio of flailing tongues emerging from its depths. The rest of its body is an amalgamated, vaguely humanoid shape of compound eyeballs, while its torso writhes with prehensile eye stalks that branch out to gaze upon distant locals and events happening elsewhere.

Life: Cautious - Jillian doesn't like to move until she knows exactly what the situation is and where it's heading. Attempting to catch her off guard is practically a fool's errand.

Legend: Watchful - Jillian is omniscient, she sees all and knows all. Or at least that's what she appears to be to anyone that goes prying into her business.

Lair: Stench, Exposed, Mirages, Slick, Echoing

Atavisms: Shadowed Soul, Eye of Heaven, Mimir's Wisdom, Looming Presence, Needs Must

Nightmares: Behold my true form, Everything you do is worthless, They're all around you, We know all your secrets, You must obey

NOTE: If used as an Apex, Jillian imposes the Exposed trait upon the Hive.

            • Paindeer: Technically, he calls himself 'the Red Nosed Paindeer,' but that was too long, so everybody just shortened it. Regardless, the Paindeer has established himself as an almost comical terror who wanders the land at night and gores anybody who crosses his path. He generally prefers to hunt solitary prey, those who have been cut off from the rest of the herd. But if he's feeling particularly famished, he'll go after groups and pick them off one by one. For him, it's all about the thrill of catching his victims completely off guard. He moves through the night without leaving a trace, and the only way his prey knows he's nearby is a subconscious tension they feel in the environment. That's when the Paindeer races out of the shadows to impale his victim upon his rack, carrying them screaming off into the night to feast upon their warm entrails.

Prior to his devouring, the Paindeer was serial killer by the name of Kyle Toddens. He fancied himself as the next Jack the Ripper and hunted the streets of the city at night, killing his victims and fleeing the scene before anybody could arrive to help. But unlike Jack, Kyle was almost caught thanks to the wonders of modern day forensics investigation. The police had compiled the evidence and were prepared to conduct a raid on his house that night while Kyle was sleeping. But the Dark Mother got to him first. She gave him a vision of the police raid, as his devouring came in the form of a hail of bullets. He awoke just in time to leap out the third story window before the police kicked in his door. If Kyle had attempted to escape on foot, he would surely have been caught that night, but instead he took to the skies, flying over the heads of the unwary officers who to this day believe somebody tipped Kyle off and convinced him to flee before they arrived.

The Paindeer's Lair is a dark, shadowy forest of twisting pathways and dense. It is a moonless night, so anybody not relying on technology is left fumbling around in the dark and becoming hopelessly lost in the process. The forest appears to be set in the winter months, as the plants are in hibernation and there is a strong chill in the air that becomes gradually less tolerable the longer one is exposed to it. None of this would seem particularly frightening to a casual traveler, but those who bring along a light source or fumble around long enough can see the terrible truth. There in the branches of randomly selected trees, are the decaying bodies of past hunts. They have been impaled through the torso with shafts of wood as bite marks in their flesh allow the blood to drip from their bodies, staining the ground crimson, as well as anybody else who happens to cross under them at the time. The looks upon their faces make it clear that these people died in agony! And once they happen upon one of these corpses and realize what they are, that's when the panic sets in. That's when the Paindeer riles itself for the hunt as it takes to the air once more!

              Family: Eshmaki

              Hunger: Prey

Horror: The red nosed paindeer is a malicious counterpart to the beloved rudolph. It takes the form of a great buck with fur that possesses the blackness of charcoal. Its nose has been stained red with the blood of victims both fresh and old and its antlers are sharpened to ten spear-like points. Like the reindeer who pull Santa's sleigh, the Paindeer has the power of wingless flight, allowing it to travel soundlessly across the land and catch its prey in the dark of night before they even see it coming!

Life: Cautious - Like most deer, the Paindeer is skittish and constantly alert for signs of danger.

Legend: Unexpected - A black deer who stalks the forests in the dead of night can be pretty hard to see coming. Even more so when it leaves no tracks with which to follow!

Lair: Downpour (blood), Darkness, Maze, Extreme Cold

Atavisms: Shadowed Soul, Wings of the Raptor, Limb from Limb, Relentless Hunter

Nightmares: Run, You will never rest, You are alone, You are Lost

              • Has anyone actually turned Hannibal Lecter into a Beast?

Is it presumptuous of me to ask for alternating male/female pronouns?
