How would you handle the presence of a Beast in a campaign mostly dominated by more spiritually aware creatures such as Werewolves, Mages or Sin-Eaters?
Although Beasts can open pathways to other realms, they're not very spiritually oriented, and have no particular means to perceive or interact with ephemeral entities. It could be more than a little awkward for a Beast to just stand around while everybody else is talking to unmanifested ghosts or just blindly following while the pack is tracking an interloping spirit, for example.

A slight of topic necromancy but was looking for information on subject.
In Beast Player's Guide there is Kinship Merit - Look Between Worlds (••) - that let you to see and hear ghosts, spirits, and other ephemeral beings, even if they are not currently Manifesting.
What's weird with it is that needs Kinship only with ghosts for seeing ANY Ephemeral Being. I suspect it's typo and should be as...
Prerequisite: 'Family Ties with Ephemeral Being of particular type - like ghost, spirit or other'.
So one Merit for Look Between Worlds ( Ghosts ), on for Look Between Worlds ( Spirits ), etc. Or maybe cost for next Being type should be only 1 dot Merit?Last edited by wyrdhamster; 09-28-2018, 10:45 AM.

Although it might not work as well with ghosts, arguably the most common ephemeral beings in the WoD, since they don't particularly like Beasts, and those who'd create chambers would exist in the material world, not in the Underworld.

Also, most spiritual entities count as kin, so if you have the Ties, you can pass yourself off as a Spirit or a Ghost amongst those creatures. That implies some level of interaction.
It also makes Angels scarier and seem a lot more alien.

And they do have the most open-ended Aura Perception power in the game, so perceiving the Ephemeral isn't an issue. Touching and communicating, on the other hand...

Well, in the Shadow or Underworld or what-have-you, ephemeral entities don't need to manifest, so while in such places Beasts would have no trouble interacting with them. Maybe they use their Family Ties to get their more spiritually-inclined kin to bestow them with the ability to perceive ghosts/spirits/etc. Maybe if the Beast is interested in developing kinship with an ephemeral entity that let it anchor or fetter itself to the Begotten, or the Beast makes himself resonant to the spirit in some way. Or maybe a Beast develops a Kinship Nightmare that forces an ephemeral entity to manifest ("You Need To Be Seen" or something).
