‚Äč16. The Winter has just been crowned. As soon as the new ruler accepts his/her position, a snowstorm hits the freehold. From then on, children start going missing around town and a woman in white and a polar bear that seems to follow her around have been seen walking around the streets late at night. What the hell is going on?

      17. The Winter Court Darklings have been making deal with the vampires of the city, no one knows to what purpose but January is almost over and people are beginning to suspect they may intend to hold onto power.

        18) Two legendary Changelings have come to the free holds, Hanzel and Grettle. They plead for sanctuary to hide from their Handler, the Gingerbread Witch who has sent her Gingerbread Soldiers to drag them back to Arcadia! The PC's are assigned to be their bodyguards until the situation can be resolved.

Grettle is a Wizened that was forced to prepare fattening meals for her brother. Hanzel is an Ogre that was forced to perform hard, manual labor for the Gingerbread Witch, only being allowed breaks to binge on his sister's meals before he was sent back to work by the merciless witch.

        19) The PC's find themselves imprisoned in an arena and forced to take part in death battles for the entertainment of others. The terms are simple, they need to achieve 100 consecutive victories to win their freedom. Lose, and their winning streak is reset, forcing them to start over from number 1. Even death is no mercy, for those who are slaughtered are soon raised again by the sadistic master of these competitions! Can the PC's satisfy the conditions to escape with their lives, or will they be forced to spill each others blood for eternity? And what will the PC's do when they find themselves changing with each competition they endure?

          20) There's news of a new pet store opening up in the Goblin Markets close to Arcadia. Unfortunately the Summer Court has a pretty good idea of where those "pets" might come from. It's time for the Gentry to have their first run in with P.E.T.A and hopefully the Summer Court acquires some reinforcements for the Freehold in the process!

            21) a true fae appears at the freehold to beg for aid. It seems that a member of the gentry somehow lured a creature into arcadia that fae magic has no power over, and it is now rampaging across Arcadia. Being half-fae, changelings are capable of traveling to arcadia, yet being half-flesh means they are able to battle the beast with more mundane methods.

The thought of returning to arcadia or working for one of the true fae is insane, even by changeling standards. But the Fae claims that several of his number have been slain by this beast, and the Gentry are getting desperate. They are willing to offer nearly anything the changelings can imagine as payment, and will offer a (literally) iron-clad contract as proof of their sincerity.

Do the motley let the fae enjoy their comeuppence? Or is there something they desperately desire that only a true fae could provide? Maybe they'd just like a closer look at this fae-proof beast...

              22) The Summer King symbolically marries the Sea at the start of his reign every year, which is usually just an excuse for changelings to party on the shore. This year, a beatiful Fae maiden walks out of the depths and accepts the King's vows...

                23) The past decade or so has seen a new sort of fairytale, an evolution of the urban legend. The internet allows 'creepypastas' to go viral, surging to viral importance in a matter of days. For the Fae, who rely so much on old stories to give them life, don't know what to do with stories that are popular for a brief flash, but for those few clever enough to seize onto these new masks, there's great power to be had.

Try not to think too hard about the Slenderman stabbing.

                  24) It finally happened, the Bridge Burners successfully destroyed the last entry point to The Hedge, thus ending the Gentry's threat to humanity forever. But things go horribly wrong when Changelings begin to slowly die without their connection to Fae magic. Realizing that their powers are waning and their people dying, the Autumn Court decides they have little choice in the matter. They have to tear open a new gateway to The Hedge. But to do so, they're going to need a lot of power, and the PC's are in charge of rounding up the Glamour needed for the ritual!

                  25) A plague is unleashed upon the city, a plague that specifically targets non-Fae and causes death within the first year of infection. Things look grim for the city's population, until a mysterious organization shows up to quarantine the infected and get them "treatment". Unfortunately the Free Holds realize that these doctors are members of the Gentry, and they're using the plague to round up large numbers of slaves!

                    A Loyalist Campaign

                    26) The PC's are all slaves to the same Keeper, and their master has given them a task, destroy the entire Free Hold of -city name here- so that their Keeper can lord his accomplishment over his rival Gentry. The PC's now have to figure out a way to systematically bring down a whole society of Changelings from capturing escaped slaves to slaying them for their disobedience, to spreading dissent among the ranks. If they succeed, their Keeper promises to elevate them in status among the rest of their servants. If they fail... well best not to think about that!

                    Villainous Campaign

                    27) The PC's have been friends for years now. They escaped from Arcadia together and have been in the same Motley for as long as they can recall. Over the years, their Wyrd has increased to extremely high levels (8-10) and they are at risk of ascending into True Fae. Before they leave behind the mundane world and become practical demigods, they decide they'll need servants to tend to them in Arcadia. They begin to target mortal and Lost alike, rounding them up for the trip through The Hedge. The PC's have decided that 10 slaves each would be an appropriate number before they make the trip. Needless to say, the Free Hold will absolutely not tolerate this! Can their enormous power keep them safe against an army of pissed off Changelings, or will numbers overwhelm them before they can carry out their plans?

                      28) One urban legend - your usual slasher fare, nothing extraordinary - has warned generations of children away from a derelict part of town that the Fae love to snatch children from. It's a raging success story for the Scarecrow Ministry, right up until people end up killed the way the killer does in the stories. A manhunt begins for a Minister too far gone to his craft, but what happens when he turns up NO COPYCATS carved into his cooling corpse?

                        29) One of the PC's has been pledged in an arranged marriage to a member of the Gentry before she was even born, thanks to her grandparents. The first time her fiance tried to claim her, the trip through The Hedge warped her mind and left her disoriented and confused, she saw him as a monster and fled before they could be married. When her fiance tracks her down again in the mundane world, he explains how they'll live in a luxurious castle in the beautiful countryside with dozens of servants and she'll wear the finest of vestments every day. Sounds like every little girl's dream come true. Perhaps it would be if the betrothed didn't take the medieval knight act quite so seriously. Turns out he has some very old world views on the behavior of women, namely that they should be quiet, subservient, and are expected to produce heirs for their husbands. Oh and the whole "punish her if she doesn't comply" law, just like the ye olden times! This doesn't sit well at all with the bride to be, but can she find a loop hole and break the pledge before the day of the wedding, or will she be forced to return to Arcadia forever because of a mistake her ancestors made?

                          30) The PC changeling returns to the real world, to find that a fetch has replaced him.

A few days later, as the PC plots dealing with the fetch, ... his father dies. Circumstances imply that this is the fetch's doing.

Twist: The fetch is entirely innocent. The PC's father died of an accident. The fetch being traumatized by what he believes to be his father dying is a direct parallel to the PC's trauma of his Durance.

                            31) The Summer Court captured a loyalist and after a thorough interrogation, she claims she is an agent of the Bunny King. Most of the Free Holds laugh it off, as the name doesn't sound threatening at all. So then why is every Beast who resembles a bunny, hare, or rabbit in the Free Hold acting like they're about to have a heart attack if this Fae enters their territory?

                            32) The Autumn Court has uncovered a map which leads to the location of the legendary sword Hedge Trimmer. According to the legends, this blade allows those who wield it to pass unhindered through The Hedge. The problem is that the sword is imbedded in living rock, and only the chosen one may remove it. If the Free Holds could get their hands on that sword, it could vastly improve their ability to rescue others from the True Fae! The hunt is on to find someone worthy of removing the sword, and while they're at it, they have to cross through The Hedge to reach it!

                              33) Feeling sympathy for the Lost who were abducted at a much younger age, the Free Holds decide to open up a "private" school for teaching Lost the educational material they did not have access to in Arcadia. Will this newly opened school give them some degree of normalcy in their now twisted lives, or will the pressures of school only add to their problems?

Here's one I did a long time ago:

In Denver, Colorado, there exists an old church that holds a treasure like no other within its catacombs. Known as the Eternal Casket, this legendary token has been guarded by the Court of Solstice since its discovery five years ago. But it is what sleeps inside the casket that attracts changelings to the place.

Her name is Emilia, or St. Emilia, as the Court of Inbetween has taken to calling her. Within the casket, she sleeps the dreamless sleep. Alive, but trapped in timelessness. Never aging, never waking. While in this state, the Fairest Bright One blesses all who look upon her with the most precious commodity a changeling can know: a sense of clarity.

But not all are willing to let her remain within the casket. Despite what her guardians say about her having willingly entered the glass coffin, there are those who believe them liars, and demand her release. Others say that it is through her sacrifice that the Freehold of Denver has survived for so long, creatures of the Hedge, or even Arcadia unable to near the church because of its "holy" occupant. Besides, surely the needs of the many out way the needs of the few, right?

Regardless of one's perspective, a hedgefire war has sprung around the Casket, one that is between the release, and protection, of St. Emilia.
