How would a demon create a gadget that acts like a Mecha?

Form gadgets. I'd say huge size, armour plates, inhuman strength, plasma drive and a weapon like eliminator cannon would make for a pretty basic mech.

Wasn't there an Exploit that allowed you to detach your Demonic Form as an avatar? If a demon's own form looks like Mecha enough, installing that Exploit into a Gadget could work.

I thought you couldn't make Lambda of Form Gadgets?

I'll have to look for that once I regain access to my Demon books.

Step 1, build a mecha (cockpit, appendages, etc.).
Step 2, use an Animate gadget to make the thing actually move.
(Optional) Step 3, wire up other gadgets as needed.

Yossarian: "And lo, it was optimal."

Step 1: Five Demons use Demon Car.
            Step 2: One uses Merge.
            Step 3: Profit.
Step 4: Get Struck Down by God.

              Huh, suppose that would work.

I'm relatively sure that would turn the Demon into a multicar abomination rather than a pilotable mecha.

After Eva, is there a difference?

Well one would look like a abominable hybrid of cars that happen to have mechanical arms, and the other is a giant robotic humanoid abomination without having herbie as it's face.

What about Urban Legend "There are Mecha that select people to pilot them for [insert something believable or cribbed from an anime here]", then just "jacking into" one of these Mecha as a Cover once it hits critical mass?
