  • Does Fire resistance apply against fire based exploits like hellfire?

The questions i literally the title. I am just curious because I'm running a Demon campaign and I am planning on throwing a Demon antagonist at the ring. One of the players really loves using that exploit and I would like to shock him with an enemy he can't just easily burn away.

    I would say no.

Fire immunity is more about mundane fire. While Hellfire on the other hand states

"The demon forces Aether through her firearms, converting
the bullets into magically charged flame. The fire thus created
can incinerate victims or destroy material objects, but it does
not start fires — nothing touched by the Hellfire ignites"

    So it's magically charged fire.

Regardless though, if you want an antagonist who is resistant to this kind of fire, you can have that anyway. You are the Storyteller, so do what tells the best stories! Perhaps the antagonist even has a Demonic Form that is all Spooky Fire and therefore immune to mundane and supernatural fire (perhaps this is related to what that Demon had as a job back in their Angel days).
