  • BTW, the point was not to screw over the players by having the Gadget have an odd number of charges, it was to set up a plot line where the players would be asked to rescue a mortal stuck in Twilight. This would expose the Gadget provider as a Not Nice Demon.

    • Exploited Gadgets still use their Aether stores, I think?

Exploited gadgets don't spend aether to be used but require 1 aether per month to maintain themselves.

        • That said, it looks like an Exploited gadget requiring it to eat up an Aether per use is an appropriate limitation/tparameter for the gadget to make it more potent. I am mostly going off of Interface’s story “Fifth” for this one though, where Carbon’s Deep Pockets and Four Minutes Ago gadgets both required it and are pretty dang potent. As such, it’s entirely plausible that a “transition into Twilight” gadget would work by requiring an Aether per shift from Twilight to mundane and back, and having only five aether in it...though given how hard Aether can be to get, that sounds like a theft rather than a gift from a cruel gadgeteer.

          • When using the Efficiency embed when you already have Good Time Management, would the ensuing time for the extended action be quartered (the two effects stacking) or would one simply override the other (and thus it remains halved regardless)?

Separate sources that don't say anything about not stacking. So I'd say they stack.

              • A demon uses the Possession Exploit to possess Fred. In the next scene Fred's body takes enough damage to be fatal. What happens to the demon? If she reappears, where does reappear? Is she damaged?

                • Is it plausible to have an integrator demon player character as a spy? Their has been some conflict in our group if that should stay as antagonist only or not

Plausible? Absolutely. But if having one in that particular group kills the fun for some people, it may be best to shelve that particular beat until you have a group where everyone is okay with potential intra-party conflict.

                    • Ahh a beat system for that is a good idea.

Ok this is more conceptual, but what makes a psychopomp a psychopomp? All their embeds don't really show me they are builders, unless you only show how they plan infrastructure in plain sight and transporting supplies

                      • Running them as a spy might cause ill feelings, unless you, as ST, have their handler be a demon pretending to be an angel, or an angel preparing to Fall. After all, if they are willing to lie to the other characters, why should they assume that their contact is honest with them? The scene where they go to betray the party would probably end up pretty awesome. :-)

In a different gaming system I let one of the players run a serial killer, as long as they agreed that the other players were off limits. The other players never figured it out....

                          As opposed to…?

Mundane Embeds deal with obfuscation and dodgy symbolic legerdemain because those are the sorts of occult tricks Psychopomps made use of as the assembly technicians for the hidden machinery of the universe under the Demiurge. "I put together covert magical workings according to the instructions of my creator" is a really broad umbrella.

That's specialist kit to begin with - a Wheel's going to have almost no familiarity with the principles of attuning to the Shadow's frequency of ephemera if all they did for God was orchestrate one-night stands or meddle with the feng shui of a public park.

                              • Yes but it's pointed out one of their assignments is to clear an area of those things, so why is there no embed for it? Unless it's because angels are naturally ephemeral, which case I can understand no embeds for it specifically
