    It's first edition, it might take a bit of alteration to make it work.

          The spell dots. Like, it doesn't take into account the power of the mage. An ascended archmaster is treated the same as an Apprentice.

          I dunno, maybe that's common and I've just never come across it.

            Well Goetic Gospels are likely coming from Abyssal Entities. We know how those guys make magic go haywire.
