Personally I would not allow any space spell to find out somebodys sympathetic name, how does space pull information from somebodies mind exactly or gather information from bits of paper?
You could maybe find out their name on a birth certificate if you had some link to the person and did some comparing? Sorta like is this bit of hair that person on the birth certificate?

Hmmmm. I'm kinda tired so my mind isn't working properly. I think the inspiration for this was the effect that happens when, during a fire, opening a door to a burning room might cause an explosion? Wasn't the explosion caused by differences in air between one room and another, being basically a violent sideffect of it trying to attain equilibrium?
Maybe a sudden Shrink targeted at a "Area worth of Air" would cause similar reaction?

Sleepers probably dont have that as a concept so using "psychic domination" with "tell me your sympathetic name" wont work while "tell me your real name" might work except for people who have changed their name later in life (marriage?).

The reason Space should work is because the entire concept of sympathy is under the purview of Space. I'd say sympathetic names falls under that concept. It's not like you need Mind to be able to read the subject's sympathetic connections either, despite them most often being defined as relationships.

Question about magical defense stacking, for example having at the same time a spell that protects against mental compulsion through clash of wills and a prime ward that modifies the incoming spells' withstand.
Does an incoming spell, which could be halted by both the defense in example, have to pass through both?
If yes, the spell must first break through clash of wills and then through the whitstand value or vice versa? Or it is mage's choice?
If no, only the one with the greater potency applies?

As I imagined, thanks
[EDIT]
Oh, yes, what about if two or more defense that grant a clash of wills can block an incoming spell? Do they stack or only one can be rolled?Last edited by Khalendas; 04-24-2017, 10:36 AM.

Per spell stacking rules only the highest potency one is in effect. Even if it grants less dice than the lower potency one.
