Um A Promtheans Harji To Mecca

I’m thinking about a Promthean Character that is A Muslim .and feels that she most compete her Harji.(Arabic for pilgrimage). To complete her New Dawn.

But I don’t know if it’s okay to Do something as frivolous as Set part of A tabletop RPG in the Holiest city in all of Islam.

Also Her thong can not go with her as only Muslims are allowed in Mecca

Changelings might, MIGHT, be able to get, because that’s the type of thing an entire freehold could work together to arrange. Prometheans have no such support network.

False papers aren't just handed out to anyone who needs them. You don't just "get" false papers. And I highly doubt most changelings would either, since most have little use for such things, and most don't know how to get them in the first place unless there's a goblin that offers to create a false identity for the right price or that particular Freehold has a specialist on retainer. I.e. through channels that most changelings probably don't have access to, much less prometheans.

    Again, Wyrd, there's paperwork involved.

For all that I dislike Saudi, I absolutely give them this: they have security and checkpoints down to an art form. I lived in the Gulf (UAE, not SA, thankfully). You do not mess around when it comes to IDs. We didn’t have our religion on ours, but we did have to declare it upon entering the country (for the record, they had zero issue with me declaring “non-religious”). The police or security forces ask to see your ID/Visa, you show it to them. You must comply, because if you don’t, they absolutely have the authority to send you packing. They’ll arrest you and deport you back to wherever you came from.

Now, least that sounds entirely dystopian, UAE is one of the safest places on the planet. I did not lock my door for three years, sometimes even when I left the country. And I was decidedly not in a gated community either. They have chosen to vest authority in a central authority, sacrificing freedoms that I would not; but their country, their choice. But it does certainly make life challenging for creatures like Prometheans.

From about five minutes of Googling:

It's in Saudi Arabia, where residential IDs list your religion, and getting a visa requires you to state your reasons for entering the country. The nearest highway is fifty miles away, and the roads to Mecca have several checkpoints where a would-be visitor might have their permit checked.

It's a little frivolous, but no more frivolous than setting a game in Vatican City or Jerusalem or another another holy city. It's not a bad concept honestly, and I say this as an ex Muslim.

Depends on how you do it. If they literally perceive it as their faith and the practice of a religion as an answer to their lot in life, and more particularly if you as the player are intent on using it as a learning experience for the religion with respect, than shouldn't be a problem.

And is there actually a throng of non-Muslims or is this all conceptual?
