hi
after looking for animalism devotions for one of my players, I've come to find that there isn't that many up against the other discipline devotions.
i was wondering if anyone has created home-brew animalism devotions for their games, and of course if you could post them here.
thanks in advance

Looking at the Discipline, Animalism has powers that relate to animals (obviously) and also marking or claim territory.- (+Nightmare) Leverage Nightmare's illusionary powers to make animals seem more fearsome or to "haunt" a target, driving them insane (think Edgar Allen Poe's The Raven).
- (+Vigor?) Charge an animal with pressurized blood/Vitae, sending them to a target like a guided (gory) bomb. A more advanced version might even send a "volley" of animal-blood-rockets at foes.
- (+Auspex) Mark an area and detect any intruders.
- (+Dominate) Mark an area and impose some edict upon any who enter.
- (+Majesty) Have animals flock to you and love you. Wear them as a cloak. Or armor.
- (+Protean) Meld animals together into some monstrous Chimera. Enrollment in a Fleshcrafters' Fair optional.
- (+Obfuscate) Animal Spies.

There's plenty of things to do with Animalism devotions.
Transfer a vinculum bound thrall's consciousness into an animal.
Enable animal minions to use Protean 1. (The animal minions hide in the ground and the Gangel master lures a target to the area where they erupt from the ground.)
Enable animal minions to count as the caster for Cruac or Theban Sorcery spellcasting. (One time per use of the devotion.)
Enable animal minions to count as the user for discipline ranges or eye contact requirements for a time frame. Etc.
Enable a designated animal minion to become the automatic target for others' discipline use equal to the number of successes on activation.
Designate 4 animal minions to act as an extension of the borders of Lord of the Land. Or Feral Infection vector where effects emanate from the minion.

Actually there is a nice devotion in ATYoN: basically you feed a certain amount of vitae from a specific animal (summoned with Animalism 3), then you can have sensory flash from any animal of that kind in a really hige range. Concentrating and spending vitae you also have other effect like commanding them at distance (not really sure I need to check).

IIRC most Animalism powers are knowledge and direction. There is no Animalism power that calms/enrages an animal at the drop of a hat, so you could do that. There is a devotion I think for sleeping inside an animal (melding), though I could be remembering WoD there. Actually take a look at the wiki for Animalism in Masquerade/Dark Ages for inspiration; you mind find some other good ideas there.

invictus combat gangrel, just asks for some sort of quick crowd control, where people run away from a fight (after all, it's harder to preserve masquerade with human casualties)
Maybe some sort of Animalism + Dominate, where everyone affected run away from the location, remembering a scary animal instead of whatever actually happened.

Any really. its so i can give him options on what Animalism can do. He has swarm form so things like vermin flood are of little use to him as it duplicates the merit in part. I believe he will probably pick up undying familiar at some point.
but these are the only ones that seem to be of use to him, and he has asked if there are any more that fit into his character idea [Invictus combat Gangrel]. i'm currently working on a few ideas, but i have to say i'm quite stumped myself on what Animalism devotions can do.

Well, Devotions can be single or multiple Disciplines, as long as Animalism is a big part of it I would say it counts.
