The Moroi connection is mostly just speculation (it's as true as you want it to be), but it served the purpose of A) making the Moroi canon in Second Edition, and B) putting lie to that silly sidebar in Ordo Dracul insisting that they're not really the same bloodline, just two bloodlines that are exactly the same in every single way imaginable.
Who nows, the supernatural world is a messy one, it could go either way, or both even.

Yossarian random question
Is there any relationship in your headcanon between the Moroi from Ordo Dracul and the Moroi from the Vampire Academy novels? The characters and the setting are very different but it just hit me that the names are identical.
“No one holds command over me. No man, no god, no Prince. Call your damn Hunt. We shall see who I drag screaming down to hell with me.” The last Ahrimane says this when Mithras calls a Blood Hunt against her. She/her.

I was asking if the writers of Ordo Dracul named that bloodline after the Moroi from Vampire Academy. Thanks 😊. You answered my question.
Sorry. I wasn’t sure about the dates.

I like it, a lot. See no problem with the Discipline spread overlap if you do Mekhet/Nosferatu and Daeva/Mekhet. Especially because to an outsider, they might all seem like one type. Then, upon investigation, it's found out they are different... And this freaks the Kindred out. Are they proto-Clans, or are the Clans becoming something else?

My apologies Yossarian, couldn't wait. Though need some help finishing them up. Something occurred to me regarding the ones with Celerity, Obfuscate, Vigor: they're made up of three of the (arguably) oldest Clans. Could tie in with the whole what vampire’s were before they became Clans.
Daeva/Mekhet: The xxx
Xxx gain Dream Visions and Kiss of the Succubus for free at character creation.
Xxx can only Embrace humans with…
Clan Bane (the Wayward Curse): xxx gain both the Daeva and Mekhet and banes at Humanity 6.
Favored Attributes: Manipulation and Wits
Disciplines: Celerity, Obfuscate, Vigor
Mekhet/Nosferatu: The Ominous
Ominous gain Dream Visions and Unsettling Gaze for free at character creation.
Ominous can only Embrace humans that have died.
Clan Bane (the Inhuman Curse): Ominous gain both the Mekhet and Nosferatu banes at Humanity 6.
Favored Attributes: Intelligence and Strength
Disciplines: Celerity, Obfuscate, Vigor

Thanks, but you (and thesaurus 😁) did most work. I just had to figure out which two favored attributes (interestingly enough, by adding in these two Twice-Cursed, each of the favored attributes gets used twice).
What about the Obsessed? Only being able to embrace Anchors sounds cool. Their Dream Visions lead them to a mortal, their Daeva curse takes over, so they drain and Embrace.
