When the second editions coils appeared I always conceptualized each coil as a dual process. One that could deal with the vampiric curse limitations or enhance its powers. The coil of Zirnitra and Ziva are the Ying and Yang to the curse of the Soul/Humanity. The coil of the Wyrm and Voivode both enhance the vampiric powers. Yet, the Coil of Ascendant dealt mostly with the limitations of the Stagnation curse, so what would their power counterpart be? This is how I envision this coil.
feedback is always appreciated. Is it OP or not enough, is it Fun? Would you use it? Also the scales, I can never judge if they are good or not.
Mystery of the Morphling
Why can't a vampire grow old? What returns them to the time of their embrace during daysleep? What power restores it's wounds to normal? Immutability. The curse of Stagnation. The Dragon that control this power persist beyond other kindred. They reverse causality and redirect its suppressed flow to come crashing down. The irony of a coil dedicated to immutability would end up being called Coil of the Morphling.
The Scales of this Mystery focus on treating kindred of the ailments of stagnation as doctors and alchemist but more often like embalmers. They deal on cosmetics procedures, extreme plastic surgeries, tattoos, scarification, and self impalement. They also lessen the troubles of the sleep of ages and other forms of torpor.
Coil of the Morphling
Cleansing Body •
A Morphling must master the Cleansing. They may keep wounds, tattoos, a stretched face, grow hair, close injuries and other changes without spending Willpower during the Cleansing and control Vitae expenditure during daysleep and torpor. You may also spend a Vitae to activate the Cleansing as a reflexive action for a turn. This allows to heal aggravated damage reflexively if you spend the Vitae required without needing to daysleep among other effects.
Morphing Corpse ••
A Dragon controls a changing corpse that returns to a set state every night yet immediately decay when destroyed. The Dragon may age, or rejuvenate till their Embrace, a number of years up to (Blood Potency x 5) per Vitae spent on this. This takes 3 turns as a reflexive action which may confer some Tilts, bonus, penalties or Conditions appropriate of the age. The Cleansing reverts the change. The new age can be set to be the "permanent" state.
Restore The Flesh •••
The Dragon exploits a body that doesn't heal but rather returns to a previous state and the closer to this the better. Vitae used for healing bashing or lethal damage doesn't count to the per-turn limit imposed by Blood Potency if it's in the same turn the damage is inflicted, and it all came from the same "attack" or source. Morphing Corpse can now rejuvenate past the embrace.
The Morphing Flesh ••••
A year or fifty, a slap or an explosion, returning to a previous state is the same. The Dragon may freely set its age by spending only 1 Vitae with Morphing Corpse, activate the Cleansing for free and apply Restore The Flesh to aggravated damage.
Permanent Remains •••••
A Dragon must surpass immutability's limitations. The Dragon no longer enters torpor from lethal damage or staking.

Sample Scales of the Morphling
Blood Bath
Prerequisite coil: Restore the Flesh
Procedure: The Dragon, or other creature, takes a prepared bath with up to 10 Vitae on top of a stagnation circle in a bathtub while drinking the blood of an older or younger victim depending on the desired outcome. This takes 15 minutes.
Outcome: Older people age the creature, younger rejuvenate it at a rate of 1 year per Vitae spent preparing the bath. This does confer and heal age dependent Tilts and Conditions. Victims below 25 years an above 60 double the base rate. Below 10 and above 75 multiplies it by 5. Killing the victim isn't necessary, but doing so during the bath doubles the previous rates. The benefactor slowly returns to their true age on a year by year basis.
Death Becomes Her
Prerequisite coil: Cleansing body
Procedure: The Dragons have taken ideas from plastic surgery, thanatopraxy or embalming— bad ideas. By performing a surgery while injecting esoteric fluids on the undead patient, or herself, on top of a stagnation circle, she bends and carves, body's fat, skin, muscle and bone to make them look inhumanly terrifying or beautiful. A tighter waist, a different face, all for looks. The Dragon starts an extended Dexterity + Medicine roll with a target of 5 successes per bonus or penalty this appearance could confer to a maximum of -2 or +2 with 1 hour intervals. Perform a surgery with a target of 10 successes to get a Protean's Predatory Aspect •• adaptation with storyteller permission. These always stay on and don't require vitae. No additional or enhanced senses can be granted. Patients can only be subject to 2 operations before they start being overwritten.
Dramatic Failure: A stagnant thought gnarls at your mind. Same as a failure but you get the Addicted Condition towards performing this scale, plastic surgery or embalm.
Failure: The vampire reduces the bonus or penalty by 1 to a minimum of 0. In case of an adaptation the surgery outright fails. The patient takes 1 lethal damage and you the Stumbled Condition. The patient also gets the Addicted Condition relating to this Scale until the error is fixed, as the supernatural forces of stagnancy gnarl at their psyche.
Success: After the surgery, the patient gets the adaptation, bonus or penalty applied to any roll that may be influenced by their looks, and takes 1 aggravated damage. The change avoids the Cleansing. Some find the change empowering, others jarring or addictive. They may voluntarily take a Condition like Shaken, Steadfast, Broken or Addicted.
Exceptional Success: Same as a success but the patient takes lethal damage instead of aggravated. Take the Inspired Condition.
Prince's Wakeup Kiss
Prerequisite coil: Permanent Remains
Procedure: Prepare a vial with 2+ Vitae and other medical and embalming components. Draw a stagnation circle in the chest on top of the heart. While injecting the vile on their heart, a kindred bites the patient and sucks the vial out.
Outcome: The patient awakens from daysleep without repercussions. For torpor, the time that the patient has to spent this way is divided by the amount of Vitae supplied up to 10; then, subtract the time already spent in torpor. If the result is 0 or less the vampire is pulled out of torpor. This can only be performed once on torpor patients before doing the slumbering vampire's (10 - their Humanity) in aggravated damage. If injected while awake the vampire becomes immune to daysleep and torpor for a scene. The vial expires in a week. The Vitae in the vial causes blood addiction and bonds as normal and the bite automatically applies "The Kiss" without spending Willpower.
Undead Puppet
Prerequisite coil: Morphing Corpse
Procedure: Inject a vial made with embalming fluid and other esoteric components while activating the blush of life.
Outcome: As an instant action, the vampire ages for the scene to become a decomposing corpse instead of gaining a semblance of life. The reinforcement that the vampire is a puppet to supernatural forces grants immunity to any Tilts like Arm Wrack or Blinded and other similar physical Conditions as dead brain cells aren't actually moving the body or perceiving the world. Gain a +3 bonus on rolls where this state or looks may help. Use the Cleansing to reverse the change sooner. The vial expires in 24 hours.
