Just finished the first draft of the Seven Pillars, the teachings and powers of the mysterious Saif ul-Qabil that (allegedly) lead to Golconda.

This is part assassin powers, part code of ethics and part roadmap to Golconda.

I like it, so is Salf ul-Qabil an incarnation of the VII or is it a Clan or Covenant?

Initially, they were meant to be a covenant of Assassins for a short chronicle I was running set in Istanbul.

They were influenced by the (somewhat medieval) Muslim perception of God, strict and vengeful but ultimately merciful (a combination, not departure, from the Old Testament God). He damned Kindred, but offered a way out since someone as pure of heart as Abel asked.

I also based them less on the Assamites and more Nizari and Sufi mysticism.

They are (partly) the source of VII legends and rumours, while some of their mythos made it to the West vis-à-vis the Cainite Heresy in Rome.
