    • Bloodwaters: Sometimes a body of water where great slaughter has taken place, and under the right circumstances perhaps under a blood moon it becomes drinkable for vampires, water harvested on that night counts as regular human blood for vampires. However it can become addicting they need to drink that water, the thirst becomes unbearable, until they are catching fire at the shoreline guzzling the water down even when it does nothing for them. Possible origins Cruac or Thebean sorcery ritual that is keyed to a certain river in the underworld, making a deal with a strix, Spirit influence. Avernian gate? Just plain weirdness. Mechanics: Stamina + Resolve to avoid getting addicted with a base number of successes needed for the number of vitae you consume, +1 for each previous time you drank from the waters. +2 if you don’t know that they are addicting. Take the deprived condition if you go composure + resolve days without drinking from the blood waters.
Possible story hooks: The local circle of the crone has access to a bloodwater and are using it to trade for favors. The prince has built her kingdom on the waters of the blood and rations it out to her allies and exiles her enemies. A coalition of carthians and other malcontents want to make it accessible to everyone, but don’t know that the prince has used its addictive properties to bind everyone to her. For only she knows the ritual to use the bloodwater. A strix comes to you with an offer, it knows how to draw blood from a water in town, it only needs you to sacrifice a mortal at the right time to the waters. What could go wrong?

      • Laccaria Amaranthia, a fungus that grows on the topor vampires and feeds off of them. It eventually breaks down the entire vampire. What is interesting is when it is eaten by other vampires or when it is tolerated on the active vampires. If you eat the fungus the vampire digests it, it tastes awful. But if you manage to choke it down you can remember something that the elder vampire experienced or thought to have experienced from a first person perspective with a memory roll. Some vampires implant the fungus on their childe or blood bonded and then harvest the resulting memories, some eat so much of it they barely remember who they are anymore.

        • Ghouled Ecosystem: Start with mosquitoes, ticks, vampire bats or other insects that feast on blood, probably in a swamp. Pitcher plants, sundews, bladderworts, butterwort, Mosquitoes are eaten by frogs, birds, dragonflies, spiders, chickens, turkeys, mice, rats, ladybugs, butterflies, opossums, foxes, cats, which goes up the food chain to ghouled coyote, owl or hawk. Carnivorous plants are eaten by moths, and caterpillars, ducks, and mice too, it can even go all the way up to deer. When the ghouled animals die, they fall victim to the fungus, kudzu, strangler trees and other things that live off of the animals.Crows and ravens and other scavengers eat the dead ghouled animals too. If humans come here and it isn’t a good idea, all the trees are mostly dead with only the parasitical plant’s surviving, kudzu and strangler vine, some algae exists. Most animals are horribly deformed and have multiple fungal and bacterial infections going on. They are also starving. If a kindred goes in there, the plant’s seem to try to hold onto him, mosquitoes follow him everywhere, ticks seem to cover his clothes, roots trip him up. Then some animals try to attack your character. If a gangrel or someone with protean tries to use the haven of loose soil they will wake up underground with roots wrapped around them slowly feeding on them. There are many such vamps here, the whole forest is a sort of hive mind. Some vamps go into the forest seeking answers to how such a place came to be, others think that there is treasure in those woods, others seek to challenge themselves in the forest and it laughs at another meal. Some try to harvest the strange plants there or find ghouled animals to bind as servants but more go in than come out.
