Is not only that they "look" like dogs, but they hunt like them too. That's the key.

Am curious if all this has been completed/compiled? Looks very interesting and yes, an update to CB would be welcome!

I have a Changing Breeds 2.0 that I'm working on, but it's very different both mechanically and flavourwise. I changed it from "You're a therian who wants to have sex with things" to "You're a rakshasa of an ancient curse who has to control their monstrous vice, follow the hierarchy of an ancient dynasty, and go on a path of self-improvement and survive punishment for crimes that were committed long before you.". Gave it the new name of Rakshasa: the Kingdom (featuring the extinction chronicles). It was partially inspired by the previously mentioned Old One Chronicles, but in the end it became very different.

I should probably make a thread for it actually since it's basically a fan-gameline. I've gotten down the whole introduction, all the mechanics of chapter 1, and I think I was 3/4ths the way through the character creation chapter, and put down a framework for what the antagonists will be, how the various gift/discipline/arcana equivalents work, etc.

Hmmm, wondering how you'll avoid collisions with V:tR if the Rakshasa bloodline pops back up in something like the forthcoming Elders source book.

Well Demon was fine as a gameline despite there already being like thirteen different Demons, but with Rakshasa so far there are only two things with the name the Bloodline and indian Gentry being called Rakshasa.

I'm more worried with the collision between my gameline and the Purified template as I called the rakshasa powers siddhi because of hinduism (and the abilities are structured around the eight principle siddhi), since those are two rules terms with the same name.

I really need to update this thread.

And get through the block I had when I stopped working on this project.

              Crunch isn't a hobby; it's a calling.

Well if it helps, the thread inspired me to start a file for my own take. Title: the Cat Must Know.

How much should a fansplat really have before it's post-worthy?

100 words. Then you can see the splat evolve as people critique it.

Mechs: Because even the Chronicles of Darkness needs robot fights.
DarkFrame: Crossover setting that puts Chronicles of Darkness in the far future that is Warframe.

Well with 13844 words I think I'll post it.

Oh cool. Even though I disliked Changing Breeds I did like some of the stuff from WAtP.

It's not exactly like WAtP. Here is a link to the thread. I've only started though, tonnes to be done. I'm going to spend time tomorrow to actually stat up the main supernatural abilities (Principle Siddhi).

I've been pondering trying my hand at doing a Changing Breeds 2.0, though I think I would do it differently from either the therian angle or the rakshasa angle. More like there are many kinds of therianthropes in the world, the result of Luna taking many mates, Father Wolf just being the most recent in a long series of lovers going back thousands of years. Might even consider doing some therianthropes tied to Helios, or neither. So there's a greater sense of unity and kinship with Uratha, and an easier time explaining why a werewolf and a werebear would want to hang out together.

It seems that just about anyone in these forums who have a knack in homebrewing has attempted or is attempting a fan reboot of Changing Breeds

Ooh, this is exactly something what I had in mind when I first saw Changing Breeds and pondered on how to change it to suit me better.

I hope we get the Werewolf equivalent of Wicked Dead when it comes to Changing Breeds. I know I'd love that.
