  • Growing, Shrinking, and Stretching, in Aberrant.

Remembering that in one of the Aberrant books Spacial control included Stretching powers because the Nova distorted the space their arm was in. It occurs to me that the same idea works for growing and shrinking. If I stay the same, but the spatial structure I am in is compressed relative to the surrounding space, I would seem to shrink relative to the world around me. Reverse the process and you could appear to be a giant and even step over large buildings as if they were sandcastles.

If you can do Plastic Man stretching by spatial manipulation, Colossal Boy growing and Wasp shrinking ought to work the same way.

Sorry for originally posting this on the wrong forum.

This sounds totaly plausible for a Nova.
To me, the only question would be, how one should deal with the fact, that the Novas mass would stay the same. So, if the Nova weights 75 kg, he will still weight those 75 kg, even when he is antsized. This would generate a lot if weird sideeffects, that are frequently ignored in comicbooks - for good reasons.
So, there are two possibilitys here:
    - Go the way of the comicbooks. The "mass-problem" is handwaved away by some quantum-woo. The incredible shrinking Nova just works like Antman.
    - Play out every weird sideeffect, that occurs, because the weight of the Nova stays the same. The Nova Most likely WONT work like Antman in a lot of ways.
